They focus on the uniform more than the education of students. They pick and choose who can do what and who cant. The well being of students is no concern their. They only care about their image as a school.
Hi, Well, the new rules for senior students are ridiculous because why are you giving a yr11 student a detention for not wearing a tie? A new student as well. Also if you’re Muslim you have to wear a white scarf as well, Black or white should be fine, if they wear something colourful then sure I understand. You got to start telling people to stop showing up with rainbow hair if that’s the case. I have been in and out of that school, I see students that are not in uniform at all and when my kids/siblings are getting in trouble, it’s always something so small. I’m not saying that anyone should attend school in a non school uniform but most kids don’t even want to attend school due to stress, their mental health in general is already getting the best of them. Before putting your hatred, anger or frustration on the kid, understand who you talking to. Nobody forced you to get that job but they’re gotta be there Banning phones at lunch and recess is stupid really then you want to tell parents to purchase a watch so they know what time to get to class. I really want to know the reasoning behind that, I'm not understanding it.
Case management system is okay. Don't do anything about bullying, sub teacher ditched me in p4 today, not joking. Not learning anything after assessments. And just the system is terrible. Don't recommend, especially to athiests like me. I have heard of religious people harassing kids over being athiest or being something else that is obviously not their buisness. They also practically give "prayer rooms" which do not exist in other schools. And those who do have the correct religion don't even use it correctly, or so I have heard. Just a really bad school from my experience. Ofc the case managers and some of the teachers are decent people, but I dunno, just a poorly functioning school. Also a year ago they said they would give me a set of headphones because I am sensitive to noise.... not here! And the kids just keep on yapping during class and the teachers during class do not do anything. Also they gave me an exam, and then an assessment of a completely different topic, with a span of 2 weeks. It is just a really bad school, I feel as if nobody is doing anything about this school and letting it go into chaos. I do not understand the positive reviews, this is a terrible school. 2/10
My son started doing drugs because apparently his teachers said its what his future will be and even handed my son a vape telling him to start from there

As a former student, I was lucky enough to have attended WSHS. Here is why every parent should consider sending their children at Woodridge SHS: 1. As soon as you arrive there, you are quickly welcomed by amazing students who have been taught the true meaning of belonging. They are very friendly, respectful, supportive and good learner. 2. WSHS has not just the most experienced teachers but teachers who are parents. A good parent is always there for their children and looking for the best possible way to support children’s learning. Additionally, I must say, due to their experience, teachers at WSHS have been successful in teaching students who never learned English in their country. 3. And when it comes non-teaching staffs, WSHS has the most kindest people who are always to cheer students up when they are down. 4. Last but not least is academically, WSHS has been successfully in producing some of the hardworking people in our society. Thanks to the teachers as they work extremely hard to ensure students are on track to achieving the career goals given that some of the parents of these students do not even speak any English. * Recommendation : can we remind our students to improve their behaviour on the public transport train or buses? It’s not everyone but I’ve myself seen a few of them. I strongly believe that we can go from few to zero. Thanks! Happy 50th Anniversary !
Fantastic, caring school with amazing teachers and staff who are always there to support the students. Highly recommended - great for kids with special needs in the SEU and very welcoming to all. My kids thrived there. Very safe environment too - don't believe the area's supposed reputation.
I recently attended my nieces year 12 graduation yesterday it was an awesome programme it flowed the whole way and the kids looked super smart in their graduation robes n caps : im looking forward to sending my son here in the next couple of years :

You couldn't ask for a better school than this one. I can guarantee to you that students from this school and those that attend this school will seek the best from this school. Recently, this school has become an excellent school in South East Queensland. Look, if you want the best for your high school children, go to this one. It's one of the top-rated schools in Australia.
