We have been coming to Second Home for about 7 years now. The quality of the food and service is always top notch! Once you step in the door, the building has a lovely calming feel both summer and winter. The service is very professional yet relaxed. I always find something interesting to tempt me on the menu. Coffee is some of the best in this part of Melbourne! A great place to come regularly, or to bring family & friends for a special occasion!
Such a beautiful place that really feels like a second home.nIt’s very spacious with high ceiling n various seating areas that you don’t know which one to choose!nFood options weren’t a lot, it’s a limited menu but I would definitely go back there for the great vibes of the place.nWe tried the couscous plate n was so delicious!nService wasn’t the best though! Our waiter was so grumpy n aggressive when she first seated us also upon finishing our food she made us feel not welcomed anymore and wanted us to pay n leave!
Hidden away from the busy roads is this wonderland of a Cafe. We have visited a few times, always great coffee and brunch. Choice of inside or peaceful garden setting, staff very friendly and welcoming. Second Home is an apt name, well recommended.

Great place, atmosphere, and coffee.nnSecond Home offers a great selection of fresh and flavorful options for brunch, making it a fantastic choice for a relaxed morning out. The food was absolutely worth the wait—every dish we tried was vibrant and well-prepared, clearly made with quality ingredients.nnHowever, service was a bit slow during our visit, and we had to remind the staff about our order. That said, the friendly atmosphere and the delicious food made up for the delay.nnParking can be a bit tricky. They have a few free, unlimited spots right out front, but if those are taken, finding a park nearby could be a challenge.nnOverall, if you’re not in a rush, this cafe is definitely worth checking out for its fresh and satisfying brunch options.
Had a great breakfast, ordered the special which was chillie scramble on a croissant and my wife ordered the smashed av on toast. Food and coffees were great. Staff were very attentive and seated us quickly. The venue is also lovely with many seating options, inside and out. Will be back.
