Loved visiting Sappho bookstore and café - went there after going to Glebe Market which is just across the street. Bought a secondhand book and spent a couple of hours in the cafe reading it whilenenjoying a very fresh and delicious meal. Such a pleasant way to spend an afternoon!

It is located on the main road. Parking is reasonably easy as it is a residential area primarily albeit the streets are narrow. It is a book shop in the front with a cafe and bar in the back which is accessible through the book shop. Seating available inside for 33 people and outside for 29 people. The bar opens in the evenings.nService is quite good and staff are friendly. Coffee is pretty good as they source their beans from Toby's Estate. Food is decent as well.

Such a beautiful place. A relaxing calm environment. If you love books and coffee you must visit. The food was really great too and decently priced city wise... I particularly loved seeing their beloved cat Charlie roam around. Will definitely come back again.

I absolutely love the place! For a book lover it's a complete paradise, you get to read your favourite book in peace and enjoy the food and drink. The staffs are friendly and courteous. They have a restrooms inside so you won't need to worry, parking can be a bit difficult and the flies can be everywhere but all in all the experience was great. Looking forward for their open nights. I will surely be back again!

Lovely atmosphere and a favourite bookshop in Sydney. Great book selection spanning a lot of different categories - including a big Aus literature section. The cafe is also a great vibe with a very friendly local cat!
