A very lovely place with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. The food is amazing, beautifully presented, and very reasonably priced. Definitely a place I’d be happy to visit again.
My husband and I ordered the big breakfasts and two coffees which we wanted after our meals, mine was with soy milk, his was almond milk. The breakfasts came out reasonably on time considering they were busy. We asked for our coffees which again came out at a reasonable time. My husband got what he wanted, my order was wrong as the coffee came with oat milk. I told the waitress it was incorrect, she took it back. You would think that they would rectify it in a reasonable time. Instead I waited 20 minutes and was told that they were busy and it is coming. I was put at the back of a busy coffee queue and was told that my coffee was coming, but they have a lot if takeaways that they need to do. My husband finished his coffee and we got up to pay as could not wait any longer and the coffee finally came out. I asked for it to be put in a take away cup. My husband made a comment and their excuse was that the barrista was flat out making coffees. Why should I be punished for someone else's mistake? This led me not having a good start to the day and felt very upset that they did not seem to care.
Great Little Café in CastlemainennPopped into this charming spot in Castlemaine and was pleasantly surprised. The long macchiato was exceptional—rich, smooth, and perfectly made. Easily one of the best coffees I’ve had in the area.nnThe egg and bacon roll was also delicious—fresh, tasty, and satisfying. It could’ve used just a touch more sauce, but still hit the spot.nnDefinitely worth a visit if you’re in town and looking for quality coffee and a solid breakfast option.
Clearly tables were available and another server said there were, but the young 15 year old girl who welcomed us clearly did not listen that there were free seats and said ‘we’re fully booked you’ll have to come back in 20’ although the other waitress told us there were seats and we could see that they were available. I’m very disappointed as I have been going there for years and have had great service until this day. I recommend further training for the younger staff.
I normally just leave reviews about my own meals yesterday, I dined with a large group, so I thought I might just weighing on my thoughts on their meals too. Firstly, I really enjoyed my vegan brekkie. It was really delicious and I thought value for money for what I paid which was $18.50. It’s always great to see a vegan option on the menu without having to ask for something to be made vegan. It makes life easier and more enjoyable as someone who is Vegan.nMy friend ordered the grilled fish , with salad, instead of chips and his piece of grilled fish was very thin, very small. Another person ordered eggs and bacon, and when we left, I noticed he didn’t eat all of his eggs, and it seems like he barely touched his bacon which looked very fatty as well. As a vegan, it’s a shame and sad to see people waste animal products. Another friend got the savoury scrambled breakfast which looked good, and my husband got the eggs Florentine, which he said he really enjoyed so all-round mix bunch. I didn’t actually ask everyone what they thought of their meals. This was just me getting my opinion about what I saw.nA+ for having a good vegan option. Thank you.
