Staffs are very friendly with smiles. Food 10/10. Definitely try chicken burger, it's good. Also ordered a medium serve of chips. Nice & crispy It was more than enough for two people.Food: 5/5

Good old fashioned, delicious, chicken and chips. The chicken burger was perfect, the chips crunchy, and the gravy was thick and rich. Can't go wrong

Excellent food and service, my family shop here for takeaway regularly, Efthimia and Paul do a really great job all year round, we can feed our small family for under $40, excellent, and I eat a lot.

Whenever I am able, I will order a schnitzel burger on my way through Castlemaine from here. It's always delicious and the staff are incredibly kind! The chips with cheese and gravy are to die for as well! I'd recommend everybody to stopping by if you haven't yet!

Great experience everytime! My favourite is the chicken schnitzel chips and gravy pack which I love for lunch. It has a great friendly atmosphere to just sit down for a quick break from work and just chill while your lunch is prepared and then brought to you. Always quickly prepared which is great for us with limited lunch time. This is a family business were they take great pride in the quality of there food ,the way it's cooked and old school friendly service which in obvious every time I visit. Well done tender chook team, exceptionally great always!

Sometimes when people ask me where I live I just say Tender Chook because 90% of people understand that that means Castlemaine. A true backbone of the 3450 food experience, every experience here is worthy of praise. Thanks to the staff for their tender attention to food preparation. We truly are blessed.

Friendly staff, I will have to mention the chicken was quite small and not very tender, a little tough and stringy. The veggies are frozen and microwaved and the gravy is very watery. Salt needed. Chips are a 3 out of 5 But first ever chicken shop that doesn’t have chicken salt. When you ask for chicken salt, the lady repeats back “with salt” knowing they don’t have chicken salt but not mentioning it. 2 stars deducted for that. Also about 10 minutes after open time they said their roast of the day was sold out. Just say you’re not doing a roast of the day. Don’t treat your customers like that.

Tried this place for the first time on the Queen's Birthday holiday when nothing much is open in town. Great chicken schnitzel burger, old school chicken rolls with gravy and pretty good coffee. We were made up. Will be back.
