The bed was really very comfortable, the window blackouts were great and the breakfast was good. These are probably the most important things about a hotel but unfortunately some of the features of the room design are not terific. Enough power points but they're not in convenient positions. Not many clothes hangers in the wardrobe. Bathroom and bedroom mirrors are poorly lit with lighting casting shadows on your face. Bathroom is just a bit too compact. We thought the coffee machine wasn't working but got it to work on third day by trial and error but there was no instruction leaflet. When we reported it as a problem, we were told that they would fix it but we got no further feedback. Wifi wasn't that simple to navigate, we had to get assistance from the reception desk and it kept asking for a reconnect. The bedside clock wasn't set at anywhere near the correct time.nThe area around the hotel is a bit desolate and deserted looking but it is in Palmerston and not Paris.
I stayed here for 4 nights and was very comfortable. The place is near a small and lovely shopping centre, bus station and pub. My room was clean, comfortable and the air-con was fantastic!nYes, the place is removed from the main city but they have free buses and uber options. I didn't know about the free buses when booking, staff made me aware of that.nMy breakfast options were wonderful and varied. I appreciate they gave a larger window for weekends for breakfast hours but the weekly hours for breakfast was generous too.nMy biggest thanks to the staff! They were so helpful and friendly. They answered all my questions and made me feel very well looked after!
Good stay, bed and breakfast for 4nights. Comfortable and spacious rooms with basic amenities. Breakfast has same menu everyday, but lots of choices. Worth mentioning cleanliness. And free parking.
I have stayed many times at the Rydges and the service is always outstanding. I recently lost my mother and had to organise a last minute small memorial gathering and found the staff at Madam Za Restaurant and Za Bar to be outstanding and extremely considerate at the time. Thank you for accommodating us at such short notice.
We had a very comfortable stay at Rydges Palmerston and were really happy with the overall service. The price was good, customer service was friendly, breakfast options were nice, and the team was very supportive with our late checkout request. Overall, a pleasant and positive experience.
