We had a great time. The room was fantastic and extremely clean. the staff were friendly and hospitable. the facilities were great. the only thing we didn't particularly like were the over-cooked and unpeeled hard-boiled eggs on the breakfast buffet. They could consider not over-cooking them they were rubbery having them peeled in the kitchen as they were difficult to peel at the breakfast table. they could also have offered scrambled eggs and bacon in the chafing dishes alongside the baked beans and hard boiled eggs.
Stayed in a lot of hotels but this has to be the best one yet.nThe room is the perfect size and a decent size balcony. It is so clean and comfortable. The bed in this room is better then my own bed at home!nWe have stayed here twice and when we go back to Darwin we definitely will stay here again!nAlso we decided we wanted to stay an extra night, and after some re arranging, we were able to stay in the same room. Definitely recommend.nThe location is great. Off of the main street so it is a bit quieter, but only a 5 minute walk down there which is perfect.
Yet another hotel where a booking only just provides you with a bed, a shower, and a door. Forget any hint of creature comforts. The ac barely works, basic cooling required 2 additional fans to be running. And you had better love local television fare, because even though the TV suggests you are able to cast from your own device, this property is too cheap to provide the actual means for that to happen. Ac is also obviously too much of a stretch for their budget in the lifts. Pity the fool who gets stuck in one, you will expire from heatstroke after the first 15min! But never fear, there are overpriced 2min noodles for sale in the foyer!! Pretty pathetic to be honest.
Beautifully appointed rooms with comfortable furnishings, standard traditional and coffee offerings, clean stylish bathroom amenities offering a view over the city and the bay.nThe staff were very helpful but overworked.
As Darwin locals spending a night away from the kids, we're embarrassed that this is what we offer tourists.nnThe room smelt like a wet dog and the paint peeling off the walls under the aircon unit was one of many signs that the building needs a makeover.nnWalls are paper thin and we heard everything the neighbours were doing all night.nnStaff were friendly enough, but we'd booked here online for the first time as it was advertised including breakfast. On checking in, we were told that an upgrade to a hot breakfast was $10 per person.nHot breakfast is literally only beaked beans and hard boiled eggs!nnThere are many other places in the Darwin CBD that are so much more value for money.
