We recently visited the Royal Exhibition Building for the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show, and it was such a beautiful experience.nnThe flower displays were absolutely stunning—so much creativity, colour, and attention to detail in every exhibit. It was clear how much effort went into each installation, and there was a great mix of styles, from elegant and artistic to fun and interactive. Walking through the displays felt inspiring and relaxing at the same time.nnThe venue itself added to the experience, with the historic building providing a perfect backdrop for the event. It did get quite busy at times which is expected for such a popular show, but it didn’t take away from the overall enjoyment.nnOverall, a fantastic event and definitely worth visiting—especially if you appreciate flowers, design, or just want a lovely day out in Melbourne.
The Royal Exhibition Building and Melbourne Museum are excellent places to visit if you enjoy history, culture, and well-designed museum spaces. The Royal Exhibition Building itself is stunning — a grand heritage structure surrounded by Carlton Gardens, and it feels impressive the moment you arrive. Even just walking around the building and gardens is worth the visit.nnInside, the Melbourne Museum is modern, spacious, and very well organised. We went to the Brickvention Lego exhibition in the Royal Exhibition Building and what a fun experience! The entry was in a time slot if 20 mins and free to stay as long as you wish till the end. We had to wait for about 20 mins to go in.nnAmazed by the magnificent builds and interactions are nice. We loved the oriental express and racing game.nnA gorgeous exhibition in a wonderful building!
We had the best day at the Royal Exhibition Building during the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show. The building itself is stunning and made the whole experience feel even more special.nnThe flowers were absolutely beautiful and everything was so thoughtfully displayed. It was our first time going and I honestly can’t believe it’s taken us this long, it was so impressive.nnWe even took home some incredible waratahs, which was such a highlight.nnSuch a great day out, we’ll definitely be back.
We took a tour of the building and learned so much! You can buy tickets from the counter across in the Melbourne Museum and meet there. You get to see the downstairs, the upstairs and the outside around the dome. The tour was highly informative and you’ll learn so many great things about the history of the building and what it has witnessed. Highly recommend!
