Royal Exhibition Building provided the perfect setting for the 2026 Australian Sake Festival, making for a truly memorable experience. The magnificent heritage building added a sense of grandeur and authenticity to the event, creating a fantastic atmosphere to explore Japanese culture and cuisine. With more than 100 exhibitors and over 400 varieties of sake available to sample, there was an incredible diversity of flavours to discover throughout the festival.nnOne of the highlights was meeting the many friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging sake brewers, distillers, and distributors, who were passionate about sharing their craft and happy to explain the unique characteristics of each sake. Their enthusiasm made every tasting both enjoyable and educational. Combined with the excellent Japanese food, cultural displays, and vibrant atmosphere, the festival was exceptionally well organised and offered an outstanding experience that I would highly recommend to both seasoned sake enthusiasts and anyone curious to learn more about Japanese culture.
Cool place but exams here made me unable to process the beauty and calm garden serendipity and art of this nice place, has a lot of nature and combanation with architecture which reminds me of the washington dc museum with very regal and historic buildings of significance and looking very cool and giant up close. Love the water foundation and all the ponds and trees which give a sense of calm and wuiet vibes of peace

We recently visited the Royal Exhibition Building for the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show, and it was such a beautiful experience.nnThe flower displays were absolutely stunning—so much creativity, colour, and attention to detail in every exhibit. It was clear how much effort went into each installation, and there was a great mix of styles, from elegant and artistic to fun and interactive. Walking through the displays felt inspiring and relaxing at the same time.nnThe venue itself added to the experience, with the historic building providing a perfect backdrop for the event. It did get quite busy at times which is expected for such a popular show, but it didn’t take away from the overall enjoyment.nnOverall, a fantastic event and definitely worth visiting—especially if you appreciate flowers, design, or just want a lovely day out in Melbourne.
