Story

MONDAY NIGHTS with SIMON from 7.30pm.

A FREE night of questions and banter in one the great old school Melbourne Pubs. The Rose is a Fitzroy institution.

Winnings are bar vouchers, beer, wine and yes...the Jesus Christ Disco Clock is also up for grabs.

Three rounds of questions including Audio Round, plus bonus game show "The Shite Is Right".

Great little pub in an excellent neighbourhood but the food brings it down. We ordered the chicken wings and rhubarb and apple pie. The wings were a bit rubbery and could have used a smothering of Frank's hot sauce.. just lacking. The pie.. really crumby, pretty much a pie tin full of crumb-like mix see images for that pearler Aside from this, the beer selections are good and the staff are pretty friendly. Cute little pub, would come back for atmosphere but wouldn't prioritise food here.
Last night we celebrated my partner’s 50th birthday in the upstairs function room and were totally impressed by the food, ambiance and staff. Many thanks to Kat and her team for their courteous and professional service.
Great Fitzroy pub with a very relaxed atmosphere. Tucked away between Brunswick St and Smith St this is a place to visit for a quiet drink or two with some good pub grub.
A great local pub, with an excellent range of beers. The Moon Dog - Mac Daddy dark ale is worth the visit. Not to mention the food. Nachos with Chilli Con Carne was excellent, and my friends Texan style slow smoked Brisket was five out of five. Definitely worth a visit!
I haven't been here for a while so it was great to be back. The service was really friendly and welcoming. Strict protocols were adhered to. I enjoyed a couple of stouts, my partner had a beer and a Patient Wolf Gin and Tonic. We had a great time and I look forward to going back.
Busy, good crowd all enjoying the footy. I didn't really enjoy my time here, I didn't like the selection of beers on tap, was squashed in a corner. Ah well.
Attentive service, excellent food delivered on time for all six of us. Great atmosphere. One of the best pubs in Fitzroy! I’ll be coming back for sure.
The best of the best. It's truly an extension of your living room; great atmosphere, friendly staff and quality drinks/food menu. Just the place to want to be to watch the footy/cricket or hang out with friends. Love this place.
Nice menu and good selection of wine. Limited kid friendly menu but overall a great place for dinner
Had a burger here. Place was really busy! 16 beers on tap was a great sign. Given that the burger should be a staple in any good pub, it was a bit disappointing that this burger was more a miss than hit. The patty was dry and completely overcooked. Fries were tasty but again a bit overseasoned. Having said all this, the steak which the person sitting next to me was eating looked a perfect medium rare. Food envy
