Story

Located at 389 Brunswick Street, Rice Queen transports you into the world of kitsch Asian design where you can forget about the troubles of the day while sipping cocktails, enjoying sakè or nibbling on dishes handpicked from a range of different Asian cuisines.

Our menu is geared toward shared dining and is best enjoyed by ordering a range of dishes for the table and experiencing as many flavours as you can. It also features a host of gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. Our drinks list keeps things intimate with a selection of wine, fantastic cocktails, sake and beers that reflect and complement the food.

Delicious food, we were lucky enough to get a table just walking in, but it was late so suggest booking where possible. We tried a bit of everything, highly recommend the duck pancake!! Fantastic cocktails as well!
Normally I go to restaurants and think 'what can I eat'. With Rice Queen's Vegan banquet I was able to eat everything and it was amazing! Thank you Rice Queen. I'm truly grateful for your vegan options. Every dish was delicious. It's great to be able to eat ethical food. We will be back.
A great asian fusion restaurant on Brunswick st in Fitzroy... we ordered 3 dishes and they were delicious... the service is amazing and staff are super friendly... they have a good variety of drinks/ cocktails as well... the interior decoration is fabulous... I will go there again for sure .. try it and you will love it !
Love this place but please bring back your usual menu! At our last visit, we noticed the menu was cut back and so too were the servings! It's a shame as this was one of our favourite spots to eat, prior covid closure.
Absolutely fire, ribs where sublime, atmosphere is lovely. All around always a good time
Dined here last night and was served by Noah - service was absolutely excellent and food was great.
