I highly recommend David and the crew at Ronin Cycling based on my customer experience and the product I purchased. I have recently taken delivery of a pair of Ronin Principal Wheels with DT240 hubs. My choice of wheels came after some conversations with David, who was very attentive and asked great questions that helped us decide on the best build for me. Customer service and responsiveness was first rate, the wheels are beautifully built with attention to the small details and they ride exceptionally well. The packaging and freight was the best I've experienced. Some nice touches (goodies) thrown in with the wheels. Ronin crafted me a beautiful set of wheels using their 5 Series carbon rims onto a pair of Royce hubs that I procured specifically for my wheel build. They provided very professional, interactive and efficient service throughout the build. The wheels are fantastic to ride.

I Found this company through Instagram, after a few conversations I decided to order a set of their premium principal series wheel sets with a set of Chris king hubs. The contact and constant updates were really reassuring and proved that I made the right choice with these guys. David was very professional in all dealings and I highly recommend his skills as a wheel builder. I have had no reason to complain or return them for any reason. These are my pride and joy wheels and are seriously lightweight and super fast. I’ll be looking at getting a set of their 3 series wheels for my next bike build. If you’re in the process of buying new wheels I would highly recommend giving David a call and finding more about his wheels and warranty. I have previously ridden on Bontrager, Reynolds, zipps and dt Swiss wheelsets these have surpassed my expectations.

I am very happy with my 5 series Ronin custom wheelset. Having tested a variety of wheel and hub combinations ranging from 38 to 50mm rims matched to Hope, Hubsmith and Aivee hubs, David at Ronin was able to create a wheel that is light, stiff, fast, responsive and still compliant enough to ride every day. I’ve now put close to 3000km on these wheels and they are as good as they were right out of the box. I like the fact that they handle cross winds without throwing you off and I am comfortable taking tight corners not having to fight the wheelset’s tendencies to continue to go straight. The wheels fit 25mm rubber really well which contributes to the ride quality and I love the quiet sound of the Aivee hubs. Overall, the attention to detail in the build combined with exceptional follow up service has made my purchase a very satisfying experience.
