The staff have amazing customer service and excellent product knowledge. Clean, welcoming dealership. Good range of cars to view and test drive. I received a detailed hand over when picking up my new car and friendly follow up communication to ensure everything was still perfect. Would 100% recommend.
I had my car serviced 2 weeks ago. I have rung twice to get a detailed quote for a new battery and brakes. I would like to know the cost of the part and labour. I would also like to know why a car with 43000ks needs new back breaks and rotors, when driven by a granny. Also 2 weeks after the service l have had to fill windscreen wipes water, when it was ticked as done.
Wouldn’t bother with these guys again if they were the last Volvo workshop on earth. Have dealt with independent, factory trained Volvo technicians for the life of my XC70 where parts and servicing have been over a third less than what the dealer wants to charge. From my dealings with customer service in parts to sales in the showroom, the interest Volvo Car Canberra have in servicing and fixing Volvo’s older than a year is abysmally lax. Go anywhere else but here.
My car towed it to Canberra Volvo Service after a car accident. Garry, the manager of service department, helped me a lot. It's highly recommended.
Great service - came for a recall service, it turned out that the person on the phone has stuffed up the booking and I was not actually booked for the day. The administrators, however, to my surprise, managed to get the recall service still done at the time. So glad that I didn't have to come again.
Service team are absolutely amazing, kind and are able to handle the most unpleasant people in a respectable way some people don’t understand we are in a worldwide pandemic and they are doing the best they can with what they have. props to the young lady on the counter who even after dealing with a difficult customer before me, still had nothing bad to say about them and was just all round great.
Second service with Volvo Canberra and I won't be returning. On my last visit they were shockingly disorganised when I returned to collect my car, with a long line of customers waiting and which resulted in me being there for 30mins before I actually got my keys. I had asked for my AC to be fixed but instead they had 'checked' it and advised it required a new part - except the car is unbearable with no AC and a young baby to transport around. They also charged me multiple small amounts such as 'wear and tear inspection - $16' 'tyre inspection and test drive -$84' and 'cleaning inside of windscreen - $33' - I have never been charged these costs before. There was also no call to advise of the AC problem or that my car was ready to collect and no wash of the car, which previously occurred. Overall, a shocking difference in quality and customer service between Volvo dealerships in Sydney and Volvo Canberra, one which Volvo Cars Australia should be concerned about.
The team take the very best care of our Volvo and are always fantastic to deal with. They explain very clearly what needs to be done, the cost and the timing. Both times that we've had loan cars they've been near new and immaculate. Our current Volvo and the service and sales teams at Volvo Cars Canberra are great ambassadors for the Volvo brand, and make it highly likely our next car will also be a Volvo!
Car service cost over $2600! Prices are grossly inflated. Take for example transmission fluid at over $500! This is $200 more expensive than a specialist in the area. An exhaust leak I raised a concern about was found due to a missing bolt. Simple fix. Did they replace it while they were down there? Nope. They simply reported that there is an exhaust leak and left it as is. Wow thanks for the advice guys. They don't qualify 'filter' so you end up with an oil filter costing over $100. Which oil filter is this? Who knows. Engine filter, transmission filter, air filter, cabin filter are all just called 'filter'. Very helpful guys. Unfortunately the manager who receives the car and gives you the invoice seems to know sh1t about cars so every little question requires clarification from the mechanics. For god's sake, if I'm paying nearly $3K for your work at least have the decency to get someone up there who can answer our questions. Not impressed. Follow up: definitely done with Volvo Phillip. We walked into the showroom only intending to do a bit of window shopping but walked out having bought a Volvo XC60 T8 Recharge demonstrator. We can highly recommend the sales team as both courteous, highly professional and not at all pushy. We felt absolutely no pressure to buy but unfortunately couldn't help falling in love with the car.: Daniel and Josh in particular were excellent and couldn't do enough for us. Of course the real test comes after the sale and once again these guys didn't let us down. Many thanks to both of you. Cheers Paul & Libby
