Vehicle drop off was easy. Also used the courtesy bus. Driver was great. Wish the order of drop off was more empathetic. The 4 other passengers were left at residential addresses, and I was going to my workplace. Route taken meant I was the last passenger and arrived at work 60 minutes after boarding the service. Google Maps says it would have taken me 90 minutes to walk there.
Have been a loyal John McGrath customer for 9 years, specifically holden for the last 4. Always taking my cars to the dealer to be serviced. The service department for holden is absolutely appalling. Car has been in for the same problem 4 times and still not fixed. New excuse every time. A new problem was pointed by the service department during the last service done on the car. We were told to rebook for repair, which we did with about two weeks lead time. Taken in for repair and was informed by text a couple of hours later that parts still had to be ordered. I will never again purchase a car from John McGrath that needs to be serviced at the old Holden dealership. Take your cars anywhere but here!!!
Think cars, don’t go to John McGrath. They are called technicians because to useless to be real mechanics. Can’t do bolts up tight and leave bolts off gear box.Customer service is terrible, rude arrogant Had to contact Holden customer service again and again to get any action /response from McGrath.Taken my car to another mechanic and they are in disbelief of the workmanship McGrath done on my car.
I had been regularly taking my Holfen car for log book service to John McGrath. The last time they forgot to put oil in the auto transmission. I only made it about 5km down the road and had to return due to the noise. No apologies at all from them, even though it could have stuffed my transmission. I'll never go back.
Friendly and helpful staff on arrival. Have maintained service at the dealership due to their Holden expertise. A little surprised at the price, mostly the labour cost, but there were extra checks and fluid changes required. Not 100% happy with the 1 extra request re the steering column lock. System upgrade was performed, but am still currently seeing the same error.
Booked in an appointment online on their website for this morning 17.12.2021 a few days back. To just be sure I did call them and confirm everything. I got to the service centre in the morning and they tell me I booked it through the wrong dealership and they can’t get my car serviced today. Personally i felt this made no sense as I went the website and choose the authorised service Center that the website indicated. The staff told me that there are many dealerships and the one I choose doesn’t have a service centre. This makes no sense at all because if that was the case why is it still up on the website. When I asked them about it the staff told me to call in next time Cause the website is not right. To make it worse there was no mention on the website that the check engine light diagnosis is not available until January as the the only two guys who can do this are off on a break. Obviously I can’t blame them but they should have mentioned that on the website. So yeah not the best of experiences
Really a shrunk place just for Holden service, sad to see GMC gone in AU, happy it's still there but feels like clock is ticking
avoid this place, would give 0 star for customer service but i cant. parts guy is just as bad
Do not trust this mechanic. Had nothing but trouble since change in ownership. Went in for a general service and drove away with no breaks, almost drive into on coming traffic. When I tried to get them to fix it they wanted nothing to do with me.
I have been servicing my new car here since I bought it in 2018 and I highly recommend this place. The staff are professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I would particularly like to call out Grant in the service department and Eric in spare parts, both of whom have been extremely helpful!
