The missus recommended this restaurant as she has been before and told me it was the best BBQ pork wonton noodles in Perth and she was not wrong!!nnThe quality of the pork, sauce and soft noodles is analogous to the extent of food you get in Hong Kong and if you close your eyes, you won’t be able to tell the difference!!nnHighly recommend this place and will be back for sure!!
Best wanton bbq pork noodles in town! Worth the drive to Riverton and being crammed into a tiny space with other diners to savour the sweet succulent pork and slurpalicious wanton soup! Always get the premium wanton, life’s too short. Chicken curry noodle and shrimp rubbed chicken ribs also delicious!
$15 / serve of premium wanton noodles demands that more should be done to improve the service and atmosphere. Food attracts the crowd but not the setting of the place.nnWanton soup - a dismal let down for a simple dish. Just bland.nnChokers at the door with no standing room to place borders. Given this restaurant is popular - do something to improve the ordering process.nnCashier needs to see seating place to place orders. All increasing queue time. Invest in auto ordering technology. You can afford it.nnSelf service to get condiments - at least top up the chilly and the small bowls to hold the chillies. Washing not keeping up with demand. Topping up chillies that runs out in minutes. Just creating extra rework. Tissue box runs out of tissues - which is in place of napkins. Common- on!
We have the Wonton noodles with BBQ Pork and wonton. Kopi with less sweet. The food is ok with good price.nThe seating is too close to each other. Not recommended for large group, table for four is maximum. Not recommended with young children.
Hong Kei undoubtably served one of the best barbecue pork wonton noodle dishes in Perth. They are famous for this local favourite and will not disappoint.nAnother dish which we love is the Assam laksa with prawn paste sauce.nHowever be mindful that the only con would be their limited seating and you can’t make reservation during peak time.nThey were packed on Monday evening at 530pm, and the hectic staff tried hard to keep up with the rush and crowd between phone orders, queue and front counter.
