It was a good experience and If I have to pin point some opportunity for improvement it would be the seafood. It doesn't look very fresh and it has a fishy taste, specifically the prawn but overall it doesn't merit less star. It's just a feedback. I prefer the gas next time because the thing about charcoal is it have a distinct ashy taste and if you're not too careful it can easily burn your food. I recommend it.
One of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. I’m not even going to comment on the food because the price already reflects the food quality. That’s fair. But price should never justify bad service.nnWe booked a table for 6 at 7:30pm and specifically asked what time the restaurant closes because two of our friends could only arrive at 8pm. We were told 10pm, so we assumed there was plenty of time.nnFor context, this is an all-you-can-eat restaurant and we fully understand there is a penalty for wasting food. That rule is fair.nnHowever, at 9:20pm our charcoal was taken away while we were still eating, without any clear explanation. Apparently “closing at 10” means taking away the grill at 9:20 if customers are still eating. Because of that, we couldn’t finish the food that was still raw on the table. I’ve attached a photo of the remaining food for reference.nnThen around 9:40pm, a very rude woman from the front counter came over and told us we would be charged a penalty for leaving food. When we tried to explain that our charcoal had already been removed, she was impatient, dismissive, and clearly not interested in listening.nnIf the restaurant wants to close early, that’s their choice. But removing the grill from customers who are still eating and then blaming them for not finishing the food is simply ridiculous.nnAfter we insisted, they brought the charcoal back, but we had to wait again for the grill to heat up while being repeatedly lectured about taking too much food and delaying their closing time. It’s quite an interesting business model.nnBy the end, two more staff members came over to lecture us again before asking us to leave.nnA restaurant can charge whatever it wants for food, but basic respect for customers shouldn’t be optional.nnSafe to say there won’t be a next time.
Avoid Hancookwan Korean BBQ Buffet if you expect basic customer service.nnTwo young staff were rude, unfriendly and clearly untrained. It felt like they were more focused on finishing work early than serving customers.nnAround 9:20pm they suddenly took away our charcoal even though we were still cooking and planning to finish the food we don’t like wasting food. Earlier they had asked if we were finished and we even said they could take one grill, but instead they removed everything.nnWhen we questioned it around 9:35pm, the boss lady came over and started arguing with us, accusing us of taking too much food and demanding payment. Ironically, we were literally trying to finish the food to avoid leftovers.nnThey later brought the charcoal back but it wasn’t even hot. One staff member then blew the charcoal with a fan, sending sparks everywhere. Some even hitting our eyes. Completely careless and unsafe.nnIn the end they basically kicked us out while arguing, saying “we won’t charge you anything” with attitude from two young staff.nnHonestly one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had in Perth.nnDo not recommend.
Overall a good experience. Staff were efficient and polite. Food was tasty and it was fun to cook the meat ourselves. $45.50 per person seems fair for all you can eat for I believe it was 2 hours. The dessert options were very simple since the main appeal is of course the BBQ. The fried rice was a little bland for my liking but the rice balls were delicious, and all of the pickles were really good. My table really loved the bulgogi and marinated pork best. It was fun, and I'd be happy to visit again.
I really liked eating here. My favourite food was definitely the bulgogi.. which makes sense cause it’s just my favourite food in general. But the other foods that I tried were very good. They have a large selection of meat, both cooked and uncooked. They don’t have a large variety of salads but the ones they do have are very good. The deserts they had looked very good and my family enjoyed them. I personally can’t comment on the desert since I don’t like sweets but the jelly did look rather delicious.nnThe staff were very friendly. Regularly replacing the grill, taking dirty plates and so on. I’ll definitely be coming back
