I must say among all the items ordered, the fish was the winner. The deep fried brinjal was rather disappointing as it wasn't crispy. But it tasted fine. The dumplings we ordered were alright. But the fish...the taste of it was similar to those Chongqing fish I had in Malaysia/Singapore run by Chinese. This dish would dangerously make you eat two bowls of rice. I'd definitely go back to try other dishes. The problem is, you need a bunch of people to try it together so that you can order more.
Delicious food, we love our crispy fried pork dish, huge menu, but not everything on the menu is available. Lots of noodles & dumplings choices. Somehow lack of service as most of the time you self serve. Lots of parking lots in front
Lively atmosphere, can barely hear yourself talk at times. When no one in the restaurant is speaking English, you know the food is authentic! Service is prompt and food is tasty, a bit pricey compared to the other restaurants around the area but not very many serve Chinese Northern cuisine.
Dropped in on this unique restaurant along High road today for dinner. Parking is a little bit of an issue so be prepared to hunt for some parking :nnThe restaurant is clean, spacious and smells like a proper Chinese restaurant! True!nnI ordered dumplings, sweet potato noodles, spicy eggplant dry, fries buns, spicy cabbage and the plum drink.nnFood tastes authentic and is flavourful. Dumplings hit the spot for me and so did the eggplant dish! Enough flavour and spices to make it memorable without calling 000 to put the fire out!nnStaff were friendly and courteous, and the food came out quick from the kitchen! Kudos to the chef and his team!nnI will definitely be back
I eat here quite frequently and as you would guess the cuisine is very north east China. The menu is very extensive catering for all tastes including pictures so as to assist with picking suitable dishes. On our visits the large dining area has accommodated us very comfortably and would consider the restaurant child friendly. The meals are always served in a timely manner and never disappoint the palate. The meals are reasonably priced and I would recommend this restaurant if you want to try some traditional northeastern Chinese cuisine.
