A good motel for one night. It was clean and got everything we needed. Rooms are quite old, including facilities. Very nice guy at the reception and restaurant in front.
Average accommodation which, to its credit, was fairly quiet. Except for the construction work across the car park on the eastern side. Rooms are tucked out the back from the inconspicuous entrance. There is a pool. Room had a few bugs flying about. Insect spray was provided. Doesn't do breakfasts but they are plenty of cafes nearby. Walkability: Right next to the Fitzroy River and easy walking to the CBD.
Place was dirty, Very pore cleaning of the room and bathroom. The room had an Awful smell that resonated throughout the entirety of our stay. It was so unpleasant and strong it made me feel nauseous. The shower drain wouldn’t drain properly while showering. As a result of this dirty smelly water from the drain would fill the bottom of the shower quickly, therefore you would have to end your shower quite soon after getting in as it would end up overflowing through the bathroom floor. The cost was so over priced for how bad the up keep of the place was. Note: Take your own pillow
Staff were very accommodating and helpful. The location is excellent - on the river side in Rocky. Had a lovely swim in the pool and enjoyed my stay very much.Rooms: 5/5
The location was great the room was clean the only issue was the very very loud frog that was outside the kitchen that kept us awake for most of the night. I asked if it could be moved so we could sleep they said they would but never did.Rooms: 4/5
Can't even eat here and we are paying guests. We were not even told that the place was full. My son is disabled. Didn't say they could bring it to our room. Disgusted.

I travel regularly to Rockhampton and always stay at 98. Skyrings is easily the best food in Rockhampton. The guys that run the hotel and super friendly and keen to help all their customers maximise the enjoyment of their stay in Rocky. It is 2 mins walk from the shops and very centrally located. I have never had a bad experience and would have stayed here at least 10-15 times.
The restaurant was a lovely surprise! Excellent food, the lobster papadelle was an absolute standout! Room was clean, but no glasses anywhereRooms: 3/5
