The food was outstanding. I highly recommend the mustard-glazed chicken with gnocchi. The performing DJ was brilliant as well. The atmosphere of the bar and restaurant has made this somewhere I will return to.

A little disappointing given price (180$/night). Nice big clean rooms but facilities are not great. Very small gym and even smaller pool area. Staff are friendly and indoor parking available. Location is ok but not city centre by any means. Restaurant is nice but pricey and gnocchi and chicken dishes were not of the greatest quality. Breakfast was good.

Overshadowed on paper by the newer Empire property in the same group the Edge is often overlooked by those relying on advertising alone. As a regular traveller to Rockhampton I personally prefer the Edge. Get a river view apartment on the 6th floor or above and you'll have spectacular views along the river in both directions and across to the hills of North Rockhampton. The building is a little older than the Empire but has a better atmosphere and is less sterile. The restaurant is high quality and way better than the usual hotel bar and grill and has a great menu that is well executed. Reception staff are friendly and efficient and nothing seems to be too much trouble. I always feel at home here and when travelling I find that to be one of the most important things. The main street below is very quiet at night and there is good parking with lots to do in ready walking distance. With a Coles supermarket and a BWS nearby it makes it an easy job to stock up on the essentials. The property seems to mostly attract business travellers so it's generally quiet and free from screaming kids and raging party types. The atmosphere is convivial and the busy restaurant is a great place to feel like you're not on your own. Overall a place I would always choose when staying in Rockhampton. Reasonably priced too.

Rooms were clean and well maintained. We found Edge a little overpriced for the level of amenities provided. The pool is quite small and the gym could use more equipment.

Central location. Off street parking. Breakfast quite good. Rooms are spacious but will soon need a freshen up. walking distance to restaurants and criterion pub
