Malaysia House

Very friendly staff and an extensive menu. No matter what your taste is, they can cater to it (as they have a lot of Chinese dishes that any Aussie would be familiar with). It's pretty good. Would definitely go back!

Quite the gem in Rockhampton serving authentic Malaysian fare. I was told that the chef is a Malaysian Chinese who hails from Kuala Lumpur. Being a Malaysian myself I was sceptical about the food after I saw blatantly non Malaysian items on the menu. (i.e Pad Thai, Tom Yum...) I am however glad to be proven wrong. I ordered the char kuey teow and requested that it be made spicy and as authentically Malaysian as possible. They did not disappoint. While definitely not the best plate of Char Kuey Teow I have had by a long shot and the flat rice noodles that was used were a little wider than the variety found in Malaysia; it is on par with the average plate of Char Kuey Teow you will get at any hawker stall in Malaysia and definitely the best I have tasted in Queensland. This is comparing them to the other Malaysian stalls from Brisbane all the way up to Rockhampton. Great tasting food, reasonably priced, good service and ambience.They are well worth the visit. 4/5 stars.

Terrible experience. Curry puffs were still frozen inside, the roti was oily and not flaky as it should be, the beef rendang was tasteless and the beef tough and we dined to the sound of the microwave going off in the kitchen. If you want authentic Malaysian, do not go here!
