Located away from the highway, it is a quiet place surrounded by farmlands. The property was welcoming and cozy. Our room was waiting for us, clean and cool. The owner was a very nice and friendly person, she made a hearty breakfast and advised us on must see places in the area. Very pleasant experience.

My fiance and I spent a night at the lodge and it was great! Lodge is located in a quiet suburb near many dairy farms, so we get to see lots of cows on the way (lovely scenery overload haha). Julie and Donovan are great though we didn't really speak much to Donovan. Julie cater yummy breakfast for my fiance who is vegetarian and dairy intolerant too. Spa pool facing beautiful scenery, common room and kitchen are clean and well equipped. Our favorite: a Hobbit cubby house at their front yard!

Stayed 1 night. Clean accommodations. Many amenities. Host was very pleasant and helpful. Authentic experience.

Julz was an extraordinary host, kind and considerate from arrival until departure. If you're in Waitomo for the caves, consider Redwood Lodge to be the best place to stay!

It was great staying in the redwood lodge Very clean, nice breakfast with various menus, and kind host with reasonable price.
