Otorohanga Kiwi Holiday Park is a pleasant and quiet place to stay, making it an excellent choice for travelers seeking a peaceful environment. The facilities provided are quite convenient, ensuring comfort during your visit. You’ll find clean toilets, a well-equipped kitchen for your cooking needs, and showers for a refreshing experience. Additionally, there is a laundry room available, which is helpful for longer stays or when you need to refresh your clothing. The dump station for water is also a practical feature for those traveling with campervans or caravans. For children there is a playground and small swimming pool. Overall, Otorohanga Kiwi Holiday Park it’s a well-maintained location that caters to various needs.
Great place to stay for a while. I only booked for one night, but stayed for 2. I felt very relaxed staying here.nThe facilities were very clean, staff friendly & chatty.nI would definitely stay here again.nI used a powered camp site.
The reasons for lacking star review is for the following. Lack of accessibility, the ramp to the men's side of the toilet block has pebbles and odd cobble stone at the bottom, and a small 'step' to get on the ramp would mean many wheelchair users would need assistance. For my husband who is legally blind, these pebbles etc make navigation difficult as his cane gets stuck in them.nGetting from the park up spot to the toilets is a hazard, the playground next to the toilet block has a drop off the grass also hard for him to negotiate.nThere was no ramp for the women's side of the block, they could use the men's side as the showers were unisexed.nThe showers we ok, low pressure. Curtains were not sufficient to stop the entire floor from getting wet.nWe are aware the weather wouldn't have helped, however the number of pot holes in the gravel driveways also made it hard for hubby to get around. Considering we paid $65 for one night, that would be a quick fix.nWe stayed the night of the 7th of October 2025. Following night stayed in a penny park up for just $10+$24 for 24 hours of power. Makes the excessive cost of this camp ground sting that bit more. If it had been cheaper we would have stayed a second night. Just to rest up before moving on.nEdit: in response to your reply. Your own website says $60 for up to 6 people in a powered camp spot, plus $5 for the dog. With our nzmca discount brought it to $62 total. So I did get my total incorrect as to what I did pay. But if were not a wings member it would have been $65.
We had the large 4 or 5 bedroom unit which suited our needs perfectly. Our family reunion was at the Marae about 5 minutes away, and it was nice to be able to get away for the evenings.
We stayed at the park in our caravan.nI phoned ahead as we would be arriving after office hours. Our admittance was made easy by booking ahead and using the self service kiosk on arrival.nImmaculate facilities with a covered in removable tepid heated pool with two heated spa pools outside. Close to town.
