The Red Lion Hotel is Ballarat's premier entertainment facility with something for everyone. Whether you're after a delicious meal in the relaxing atmosphere of Leo's Restaurant, a spot to catch all the sports and racing action in Simba's TAB or a great place for drinks after work, the Red is the place to meet.
We are proud to say we are Ballarat's first and only venue to serve Carlton Draught unpasturised Tank Beer.

Great spot for lunch or dinner with amazing food and friendly, attentive staff. The playground is a big bonus, keeping the kids entertained while you enjoy a relaxed and enjoyable meal with the family.
The food here was tasty but definitely cost more than we were expecting. The chicken parm was the taste / value winner of the experience.nnMy partner had the lamb cutlets which were tasty, I had a medium rare porterhouse which was nice with good salad, my youngest sister in law got the pumpkin focacia sandwich which she didn't like at all and woukdn't eat, the older sister got veggie dumplings which she rated alright and my mother in law got the chicken parm and she ate it all and loved it.
Absolutely deserving of 5 stars!nWe had a fantastic experience and service was exceptional. The food exceeded expectations—delicious and generous portions. We tried the beef burger, chicken parma, and an Angus steak, all cooked perfectly, especially the steak which was spot-on. Sitting by the fireplace made the atmosphere warm and inviting. A truly great spot to relax and enjoy a quality meal. Plenty of parking space on the side.nnHighly recommended!
Good food, super friendly service.nDidn't care much for the open games room and sounds coming from there.
Lunch this time was quite busy due to the school holidays. We were still able to chat comfortably amongst ourselves. Service was on point. Staff were very attentive. My steak was cooked more than ordered. However, in saying this, I didn't send it back due to the quality, so tender. All enjoyed their meals.
