KARAGE & TONKOTSU RAMEN - Recommended here.nnHigh quality food, reasonable priced, beautiful ambience.nnFrom the outside it looks like a hole in the wall restaurant, but it is very spacious inside.nnThe Karage is a must have here, it is huge in size, served hot fresh, with a crunchy outer and juicy tender inside. Perfect combination to dip into the mayo.nnThe tonkotsu ramen had a nice pork broth, with perfectly cooked ramen noodles and the perfectly cooked boiled seasoned egg.nnThe servers were very friendly and served us with a smile.nnThis place is better than the browns bay branch, in terms of calmness in service.nnWill be back!
OMG. Best ramen in Auckland. Good front of house service. We had to wait for a table but that made me and hubby feel better that we had come to a good place. Service was great. Ramen was perfect and cooked with love. Very happy customer. Will be back!
Thought I’d come to this restaurant since I was missing some of Japanese cuisines. I ordered the Tonkatsu ramen and karaage.nDisappointed with the ramen because I only received I slice of pork & half an egg.nKnowing japanese cuisine and portion sizes, it didn’t reflect the same hospitality as in Japan.nI get it that times are tough but it should be equal to what we pay for. $37 for the whole meal which was pretty average.nExperience was good, she was very accomodating and ambience was quite good.
Ramen Takara is the perfect spot for a rainy day. The restaurant is slender but not cramped, and makes you feel tucked away from busy Ponsonby rd. The service was quick. And best of the all, the food was absolutely delicious! I had the agedashi tofu and tonkotsu ramen, then finished off with the matcha monaka dessert and jasmine tea. I highly recommend!
Went here for Fathers day lunch. Was greetrd by host friednly inviting smile and shown to our table out the back down some internal stairs in what seemed to be an old enclosed deck. Our order was taken fairly quickly and outlr drinks arrived not long after this.
