We had breakfast at The Food Room today, and what an absolute treat that was. We were four people and were greeted by the most lovely elderly man who took our orders by memory, and although our orders orders came one by one, and got swapped around here and there, every plate was served in the most hospitable and amiable manner.

Unfortunately, this was our last day in Auckland, otherwise, we would have had breakfast here every day.

Good pies, good coffee, good service! Expect Ponsonby prices.

Best pie I have had in Auckland yet. 
Milkshakes very good as well, nice and thick.
Breakfast menu just ok.
Coffee not bitter like the rest of Ponsonby rd
