First and last time I'll ever shop with RT Edwards. Purchased an lg tv and "magic remote". After several attempts to sync the remote to the tv but certain features like select and back not working we return the remote to the store with our reciept. Straight up told to go and contact LG. No I'm not happy with that, not to mention it breaches consumer legislation. We are then given a store remote that shows obvious signs of use scratches, a dent again I'm not satisfied, I didn't pay for a second hand remote. Anyways I email headoffice. I go home and this remote that was working in the tv in store is not working on our tv, even after multiple syncing attempts, turning off tv etc. A quick google search reveals this remote is for 2017 TVs, our tv is a 2016 but purchased 10 days ago and our tv is NOT on the compatable list for this remote. My partner calls back headoffice who starts telling us that LG require them to send the remote back after 5 days or they won't honour their return, I as the consumer don't care, and consumer legislation trumps your crappy agreement with lg ask Harvey Norman how there argument worked for them in court, hint - the answer is million dollar fines. i don't care about lg, my contract is with YOU, so if you want to send it away etc then you sort it out. Anyways after my partner gets a word in we explain what we found via the internet. And are asked "well did you ask for that exact remote?" FIRST instinct is to somehow put the blame back on the consumer. We respond no, while looking at TVs in store where shown the magic remote and told works Witt ANY lg smart tv, which experience AND manufacture information tells us IS NOT TRUE. Anyways the person from headoffice appologises and says he will organise a refund with the helensvale store. So today my partner returns to the store, the gentlemen who served us knew what we were talking about, was processing the refund, but not before some smug know it all female comes over, syncs it with their 2017 tv and says "see it does work" my partner says tell her yes it's a 2017 tv, ours is a 2016 tv, she goes on to say it works with all 2016/2017 tvs, again not it freakin doesn't  so not only are you giving out incorrect information and selling people things that don't work but then when told it's the incorrect information refuse to even take a minute to verify the information! All I wanted to do was buy a tv and it resulted in 3 trips to the store, 1 email, 2 phone calls and being treated like I'm trying to scam RT Edwards. And at the end of the day the only person at fault was RT Edwards. Never ever again, stick with JB HIFI!

Fantastic service. Lochlan and Trent looked after my purchase and really went the extra mile. More than impressed. Great to see such pride in customer service.
