I went on a five-day "Learn to Dive" experience with Pro Dive and it was an utterly fantastic experience. The instructors were awesome and the dives were unforgettable. The only quite-significant downside (testament to the rest of the course that it only cost one star) was that you constantly feel like a sales target. You are leaned on quite heavily to spend hundreds of dollars on additional training, equipment in the Pro Dive shop and food/drink at certain affiliated restaurants. If you go in with the mindset that you aren't going to spend more than you have to you can avoid a big hit and it really won't detract much from the experience (unless you have unusual head/feet and genuinely require your own kit).

Really professional team who made learning to dive an amazingly enjoyable, safe and fun experience. The course came recommended from another dive shop in Port Douglas which couldn't manage the dates I wanted. Very well organised 2 day classroom and pool learning followed by an incredible 3 day live-aboard experience with a great crew, fantastic food onboard and stunning dive sites. A great way to get PADI certified. Thanks Niki Maguire!
