Gilligan's is the ultimate experience in accommodation and entertainment set in the heart of Cairns. Offering guests 5* backpacker accommodation, nightly entertainment and a relaxed atmosphere whilst soaking up the sun, why choose to stay anywhere else?

All room types are fully equipped with an full en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning and four floors of communal areas. Or perhaps try our deluxe dormitories; designed to offer that little bit extra. Available in 4 and 6 bed configurations, these rooms offer TVs, refrigerators and all have a private balcony to kick back and relax after a long day at the reef, rainforest or even a lazy day by our pool.

It doesn't end there...our outdoor lagoon pool is encompassed by a beer deck which during the day offers chilled music, enjoy the atmosphere and maybe even a cold beverage. By sunset this area transforms into a exhilarating night offering a wide range of entertainment evenings from Live entertainment and dj's 7 nights per week, Trivia, Wildlife Show, Beer Pong, Talent Show, Jelly Wrestling, Wet T-Shirt, Pole Dancing and much more as well as on weekends where national and international DJ acts are flown in for that added extra only Gilligan's can provide.

I had a great time! The place is nice, the atmosphere is great with an indoor and outdoor part. Thanks for the welcome and thanks to the team for their hard work and to Naiara the receptionist for her smile and professionalism. I highly recommend this place if you're ever in Cairns, not to be missed!
The hostel is quite nice, it has plenty of rooms and it has a great bar with a pool right in front where you can get in for free during the day. The bar has great service all the time. At night, it becomes a club and you can get it at a discount if you’re staying in the hostel.
The location is convenient, however it is very loud because of the bar next door.nThe rooms and corridors were a little bit dirty, the bed was not comfortable and in general as a female law travelling alone, I didn’t feel super safe there.
Took my friend to nightclub for her birthday the other night, we had an amazing time. Jenny served us up in the Attic, she did an amazing job and is great at what she does. Fantastic night. A fun light-hearted night out on the town.
If you have the opportunity to visit Cairns. Gilligan's is a must see and do. With accommodation, a pool, all day dining and one of the BEST bartenders you'll ever meet. Ethan hands down will pour a perfect beer , shake a great cocktail and give you a laugh. Definitely add Gilligan's to your bucket list!!!!
