From Danny, I quite often go to the library to work and on many occasions there are children's play groups singing, playing and undertaking many noisy activities, which is great, but should not really be happening within a library environment. On other occasions, there are people sitting around the main table (on your left as you walk in) working away on their laptops and very often, at the same time, talking on their mobile phone. Again not ideal for a library environment but understandable. Today, I was working at the library on my laptop and for the first time ever answered a call on my mobile at the library. I walked away from the table, and into a corner of the room, in order to try and minimise any disturbance to others. I admit I was talking longer on the phone that I was comfortable with, but unfortunately I had to deal with a critical issue and I could not just walk outside because I had my laptop and other valuables on the table. Unbelievably, a library staff member came up to me, started abusing me and finally yelled "get out!" So unprofessional and such double or even triple standards. I'm a rate payer but will not be going back. Maybe I can get a discount on my very expensive rates!

Great place if you want to go work in peace. Library has a good set of reference books and the librarians are the most helpful.
