My wife has been in a lot of hospitals and this was the first time she had a completely positive experience with the staff and care she reviewed. The nursing staff were excellent, the doctors were fantastic. I was particularly impressed with the anaesthetist who rang her beforehand and was extremely understanding, knowledgeable and compassionate. The pain management nurse was incredible. If there was any minor negative thing to mention it would be the strange practice of offering alcoholic drinks to the patients.
The three stars go to the nurses and doctors who I saw once I was actually admitted for my procedure. They were caring. Also, good sandwiches!nnThe minus two stars go to the receptionist/first point of contact for the day. This lady was incredibly rude to not only myself but most patients coming in. Not a good look when you are coming in nervous for a procedure and the receptionist is treating people that way.
I just got discharged from the hospital today! I wanted to take a moment to thank my OB, Dr. Suhad, and the Pindara maternity team for making the delivery of my first child so smooth and comfortable. As first-time parents, my husband and I were a bit nervous, but they made the whole transition so memorable,convenient and friendly.We really appreciate all their help!
First time surgery for me and I was very nervous. All the staff at Pindara made it so much better than I was anticipating. I came in an ambulance with severe chest pain and because I live so close to to the hospital the ambulance staff said we might as well wait and let the hospital staff put a cannula in and give u some pain relief.well we waited in the ambulance bay for at least 40mins then was given a bed in the emergency.n2hrs later I was given pain relief after crying in pain the whole time.nThe office lady came in to get me to sign the paperwork and give her my credit card while I am crying in pain and before I received any pain relief.nI did have a c.t of the chest,blood works,ecg and a doctors visit.nCame in 6pm but wasn't allowed anything to eat or drink till the results of the scan and bloods came back.n10pm I got some food after asking several nurses for something to eat and drink. I was told by the doctor I needed to stay in till we worked out what was causing the chest pain.nI sat in emergency till 1.30am as the nurse who was run off her feet said she thought I was going home.nFinally 1.30am I went to the cardiac ward and finally fell asleep 2am to be woken 5.30am to do obs.nThe emergency room was crazy busy and had hardly any staff.i have been going to pindara over 20yrs and this experience was the worst.nThe nurse in emergency said they are so busy as they are taking public patients to relieve the public hospitals.nI pay over $330 month for top hospital cover because I am a cancer survivor with numerous health conditions.nI will now be talking to my specialists about maybe going to a different hospital. I signed paperwork to say the fees would be $340 In emergency and I checked my bank account and have been charged over $400.nNot happy pindaranI have sent an email to the email given to the reply and have yet to receive a response
