3 weeks later I'm home.. TKRn. Total Knee Replacement.. Dr Brown.. wonderful surgeon.n..Dr Wong my Rehab Doctor and such a caring soul he was .. All Physio specialist ...all gave their heart and soul to all patient's.nFood was great / kitchen staff amazing !nNurses 8 out of 10.. 1 nurse Jacinta shift was the day shift ..8/02/26.. so rude.. she made a fool out of me.. made me feel like a drug addict and in front of my family ..she told me I couldn't have pain relief ...she said .. no you can't have any ! she said you have had 3 lots all ready.. in shock I said.. no I haven't.. and could you please check my chart .. as I have only had 2 lots.. she came back to my room 15 minutes later with another nurse with my medication.nI'm with Medibank Private.. and this was unexceptable behaviour ! and that really upset me dearly... there was no duty of care from that unprofessional horrible person.
I just returned home from a 3-week stay in Gold Coast Private Hospital and would like to mention the care I received was absolutely first class, particularly from nursing staff Keren, Debbie, Col and Denise for whom nothing was a problem.nI would also like to mention happy, charming Scottish lass Moira on the cleaning staff, who not only kept my room spotless but also bought her cheerful, charming Scottish humor with her wherever she went.nKeren on the nursing staff also went the extra mile many times including pushing me in a wheelchair downstairs and out into the fresh air and sunshine.nThere are certainly some incredible people at GCPH.
I had surgery here on Monday and I cannot fault the doctors, nurses and the hospitality staff. I was treated with kindness and empathy and nothing was too much. My surgeon, Dr Victor Liew was AMAZING!!! He is so friendly and down to earth and kept me up to date with everything that was going onnI cannot recommend this hospital highly enough
I am actually writing this review from my bed as a current patient in the GC Private Hospital after a reasonably serious medical procedure. The word that comes instantly to my mind is ‘superlative’ regarding the level of care I have personally received and witnessed for others. Following my surgery I was placed in ward 8. Every care could not have been surpassed by all the staff along way. I’m going to mention by name three RN’s Teagan followed by Lauchlan and then Brooklyn who displayed with every interaction a professional, empathetic and beautiful kindness to a level as though they were caring for their ‘own’ parents or loved ones. This is the work ethic that comes when people have chosen the perfect profession for themselves. My surgeon Dr Gaille and anaesthetist had a wonderful caring and friendly bed side manner.nOnce again, thank you to all the staff from the time of entering the hospital through to leaving.nPs: I won’t leave a picture because I look horrendous.

They took the time to explain things clearly, answer questions, and ensure comfort, which made a big difference during what can be a stressful time.nnThe hospital is clean, modern, and well maintained, with a calm environment that helps patients feel at ease. Communication was clear, and everything felt coordinated and professional.nnOverall, a positive experience with excellent care and service. I would confidently recommend Gold Coast Private Hospital to anyone seeking quality private healthcare.
