My mum and i traveled with passions of paradise on Sunday the 9th June on a snorkelling and scuba diving tour. From the moment we boarded the vessel we were greeted by a professional, friendly and accommodating team of staff. The complimentary food and beverage was amazing, especially the hot buffet lunch that was served to us by a chef. The captain drew was very helpful and on board at all times watching the swimmers and assisting with equipment and anything needed. I have a rotator cuff injury that stopped me from putting my wet suit on properly but Andrew a crew member was very helpful to ensure a didn’t do further damage. We absolutely loved the beautiful snorkeling spots, we had hours of time to explore the reef and relax. If you’re looking for a reputable, safe and memorable day choose passions of paradise. You will not be disappointed!
Best reef cruise company in Cairns to see Great Barrier Reef! And last one owned and operated by local owner. And they are eco tourism certified. If you’re looking to ditch the crowds and have a unique experience at the Reef, look no further. And stay away the ones that take you to a pontoon with hundreds of tourists crammed on a boat. Passions of Paradise has a beautiful and fast catamaran with option to sail in good weather. Attentive and knowledgeable staff to help you through your day. My son got sea sick while on board and they were very helpful and considerate. Lovely marine biologist Hannah made an amazing presentation on the way back. Lunch was so delicious, cooked fresh by the chef on board. And plenty of food available as morning and afternoon tea. And one last thing but a very important one, if you tend to get sea sick, take your medicine before you board. Otherwise they have plenty of sick bags available:
J’ai eu cette journée en cadeau d’anniversaire, et que rêver de mieux ! L’équipage était génial, disponible, cool et professionnel. Le meilleur bateau de Cairns pour ce type d’activités. La plongée était top, avec un requin en prime ! Un grand merci à Mélanie notre monitrice, très professionnelle, à l’écoute, ma première plongée s’est déroulée à merveille. Je recommande complètement cette compagnie ! Merci à tout l’équipage pour cette belle journée
The best experience in Cairns! From start to finish, the team’s enthusiasm was infectious. Coupled with professionalism and know how that made me feel safe. I’m not a confident swimmer, but passions of paradise made me feel comfortable in the open water. Big shout out to Drew who took me down for my first scuba dive, couldn’t have gone better. The boat itself is speedy and spacious with enough food to fuel you for the day. If you want to experience the Great Barrier Reef, this is the team for you!
This was what I came for. Once in a lifetime experience. The crew was just awesome. The way Simon taught us the basics at the start of the dive, it was incredible. They only took us underwater once they were sure that we got the basics right. My wife who is always afraid of the ocean, who never goes swimming at the beaches or swimming pool, she went snorkeling all the way with Ben to see the Great Barrier Reef. It was a dream come true, which wouldn’t have been possible without the beautiful crew of Passions of Paradise. Thank you all.
With so many tour companies to choose from, I can not express enough how happy I am that we chose Passions! The boat, the crew, and the food was absolutely amazing! My husband and I did our intro dive, and our instructor Andrea made us feel so safe and showed us the best time. You can tell that the entire staff really all love what they do!
At 25 years and 67 years, my daughter and I were both extremely happy with our day out on the reef with the Passion for Paradise crew, and very glad we chose this local award winning company. They are enthusiastic, friendly, professional, conscientious, safety conscious, and funny! We both felt cared about and given personal attention. The food was just right, my daughter loved the lie down mattresses on the top deck, all the gear was provided, the snorkelling was fabulous. I’m especially grateful for the free use of the prescription goggles - I could see perfectly!! Thanks especially to Andrea who took great care of me and others who needed extra monitoring and gave his wonderful knowledge of the reef freely as we swam. Amazing experience, the guides were all friendly and helpful. And locally owned others aren’t smaller boat means smaller tourists which was nice. And the people at passions put money back into the reef by replanting new corals, and emissions low with the style of boat. Would highly recommend, saw loads of fish and corals.
Had an amazing day. Crew was super friendly and the food vegetarian option was wonderful. The boat was the best you could wish for and I really enjoyed the "learning lession" about the reefs ecosystem on the way back. Good job! THANK YOU !
Une journée magnifique ! Le snorkeling sur la barrière de corail était magique, c’était comme un aquarium. Le catamaran est superbe et on ne se sent pas trop nombreux ni dans l’eau ni sur le catamaran. L’équipage est adorable, merci encore à Mélanie pour cette journée inoubliable
