The best day we have had in Australia! The crew were amazing, so nice, funny and informative. The snorkelling was incredible and we saw such incredible things! Best snorkelling we have done and the Reef talk with Gabi was so good and the reef tour! Turtles, sea cucumbers, coral, sharks, Rays and soooo many fish! I highly recommend booking with this company such a lovely group of guides and crew members each and every one of them! BEST DAY EVER! Lunch and refreshments provided were great, brilliant facilities and equipment!
Really nice tour. Excellent lunch. Boat had cold water and several bathrooms. Booked through viator but I think it would have been cheaper direct. Was from about 9 to about 5. Went to three spots on the same reef. Would do again for sure.
I was looking forward to the Great Barrier Reef snorkel from the moment I booked the trip to Australia. Unfortunately the weather was not ideal which made everything harder. The first site had a strong current that made snorkeling difficult - visibility was terrible and it was a rough swim. The second and third site were BEAUTIFUL, unfortunately we did not get much time there. The tour includes divers and snorkelers - each group going out at different times which slows everything down. The boat was packed and trying to get out into the water was a bit chaotic. The crew was AWESOME and they did what they could but we spent more time getting in and out of wetsuits and trying to find and put on our flippers and snorkels then seeing the actual reef.
From start to finish a great experience. All of the staff we encountered were helpful, fun, respectful and professional The food was nice with a good variety. Plenty of coffee and tea, snacks and lunch was plenteous. We felt safe and were helped all the at thru. Obviously there are rules to obey for everyone’s safety. When the rules were broken the staff were firm but fair. The equipment was good and everything thought out to get the best experience while being safe. My wife is a novice and I am fairly experienced at snorkelling. We experienced over three hours in the water seeing amazing coral structures and many fish varieties. I read most of the poor reviews and can honestly say our experience was the opposite of what most of the poor reviews stated. I have a medical condition which was discussed prior to us snorkelling which helped me a lot. The advice given improved my experience. I am 62 yo and wanted to dive the reef for many years and Silverswift delivered a bucket list experience in spades. Great value for money, We researched other options and chose this one as it suited our desires for snorkelling the reef. I recommend Silverswift for professionalism, safety, experience and fun. I had a great experience with Silverswift yesterday, I did 3 certified dives with a small group, my instructor was great and the corals were amazing!! I definitely recommend to book with silverswift if you want to have a wonderful time on the Great Barrier Reef. I can’t wait to do it again!!
The whole experience was amazing. The crew was wonderful and the customer service was 11/10. I had James as my dive instructor and he was very patient and accommodating. All of the staff were very attentive to your needs and were all very kind. They were ready to handle any situations like seasickness which several of us did experience on the trip, and were very professional. All 3 sites were beautiful and I highly recommend doing a dive because it's a whole other world. I would definitely recommend Silverswift as a first time diver and snorkeller!
I had a wonderful experience with them, all the staff are friendly and experts at what they do. In spite of the choppy waves, we got to the reefs and back to wharf safely. They briefed people about safety in each site we visited. The food on board was fantastic, as the meals meals prepared well ahead of time within food safety standards. Our on-board photographer was amazing too, she was efficiently processing all photo requests in her small booth whilst the boat was rocking and slicing through the waves. The accompanying marine biologist was knowledgeable and approachable for questions. What an amazing job they do. Thanks!!
Loved our experience with Silverswift, we felt safe and looked after the entire time and that was extremely important to us as my wife is not a strong swimmer. The snorkelling locations are fantastic and beautiful, the staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Our lunch was yummy and filling. P&O recommended this tour to us and I can't wait to explore more with the Silverswift team again soon. Thank you team.
We did the one-day snorkeling trip with QuickSilver. The boat was comfortable, modern and fast, so we didn't spend that much time getting to and from the reef. We used their stinger suits, masks and snorkels and all were in good condition. The Reef itself is amazing, although even with three stops we are only seeing a tiny fraction of the whole thing. Special shout-out to Becky, the Marine Biologist, for providing context and answering all our questions patiently. NB: We purchased medication for sea sickness at the bar. Totally worth it - we did not feel queasy at all.
Great day! Had three dives and the coral was some of the best I've seen in the world. Flynn reef had enormous coral structures and tunnels. It was magic. The boat is really well equipped and all the dive gear provided worked perfectly. The dive guide was super nice and knowledgeable. There is tea and coffee whenever the boat is stationary. They provided muffins in the morning, a hot meal with delicious curries and rice for lunch with assorted salad options and cheese and cold meats for sandwiches if you like. They even provided afternoon tea before returning to Cairns. Really couldn't fault this boat, staff or general overall experience. If you're looking for a day on the barrier reef look no further.
