They used to have the best laksa in town. But in January they renovated, and got rid of the friendly Malaysian food chefs. Now they do ordinary pub food for an extraordinarily high price. They charge $20 for a burger but don't even have the decency to serve it to you on a ceramic plate. They serve salt with a sprinkling of potato chips. I chose one of the few burgers on the menu which wasn't explicitly marked as spicy. It was spicy. So I spent $20 on something that came in a plastic tray, and didn't even taste good. I hope they realise their mistake and bring back the Malaysian menu. Every item on that was fantastic, and 2/3 of the price. Nice decor though.

Really bad hotel. Can't even call it a hotel, as it's basically hostel. At the bottom of the building is a pub and a waitress was a receptionist. Had to shout to her so she would hear what we came there for. Were called backpackers. Just because we had backpacks on our back. That is not a way how you treat customers. There was no mention online that toilets are shared facilities, only when we payed we were said so. Asked for a refund of the money, as that wasn't what we wanted. They decided to refund us, and instead of refund charged us twice. Still dealing with them to get it sorted. Would not recommend it.

Lots of beers on tap and they're bottle shop has good prices. Friendly staff and helpful to if you're new to the area.They are doing maintenance on the dining area at present. I've got to give them 5 Stars

Motel Review. The rooms are clean, comfortable, quiet and very basic. Bed, fridge, chair, side table, fan and hanging rack. No ensuite, no TV, no phone, no A/C, but it is very cheap. If you are travelling on self funded business and want cheap, this is it. On the plus side, there is very good free wifi. The shared bathrooms are clean, old style (not renovated - pink) but not crowded. I was the only person in there every time I used them. In my experience, staying in a room in a pub can be very noisy, but not here. The motel rooms are along side, not above the pub. This makes them virtually pub noise free. There is a dining room down stairs but I didn't try it. It's a short walk to a good Thai and a Chinese/Viet takeaway. And in the other direction and closer a couple of very good early opening breakfast spots. Only gripe - it advertised off street parking but there is none. However street parking seems OK.
