We are from Sydney & spent the weekend in Newcastle & had a yummy lunch at Oma's Kitchen, the Fren's were such down to earth people & exactly the way you see them on Travel Guides is the way they are in their restaurant. Warm, funny & entertaining but also very good hosts & fantastic home cooked food.

What a great place we were walking around trying to find somewhere to eat and stumbled apon this little place. The fern family are great and were my favorite on the travel guide show. Besides that the food was great and service was amazing.

Oma's serves a well balanced lunch. Greens, carrots, fried egg, beef or pork, with a side of soup and pickled veggies all for a reasonable price. You can't get that at very many places on campus for under $10. And, the warm soup is a really nice addition that makes it feel like home-cooking.

So exciting to have met the frens! Great food and even better service. Thanks for dealing with our crazy loud family
