Great place to breakfast or brunch before or after a swim at Newcastle main beach. Always a good crowd and friendly staff. Today a coffee and the breaky wrap - very pleasant.

I’m from the Yarra Valley in Vic, and this place here felt most at home for me. From the cozy space, to the rustic interior and banging old tunes. Would definitely recommend their Cappuccinos! Staff are very down to earth and chill!
Love Good Brother but I'm sad about the decline in quality of the coffee. Its becoming really hit or miss, often I'm getting burned coffee, being given the wrong order or not being given my order at all and having to remind the staff, even when it's quiet. There are a couple of newer staff members who don't seem very on the ball and are pretty unfriendly. Not long back I would love coming in because eveyone was so friendly, it seems like there aren't many like that left and the atmosphere isn't as welcoming. I'm hope they can turn it around, maybe some extra training for the new staff.
Seemed busy, but food selection is limited. Hot coffee came in a glass, and I couldn't hold it. The place is quite shabby. Just look up and see the dust and cobwebs.Food: 2/5
I dropped by in a morning when I was there for a few working days in Newcastle I found this place via Google Maps and happy with the suggestion. Very good taste breakfast with choco chia vs berries and great coffee also The lady at the counter was so friendly while advising me the choices. Highly recommended!
Early Friday morning breakfast, after 6am flight from Melbourne. Interesting menu, coffee was okay, fruit bread good, cereal good, avocado on toast was different, lacking presentation, butter was too hard to spread, wouldn't say it was the best avocado & toast we have had.
A confusing start to breakfast with no direction on where to sit/what to order, but after settling in it’s a very cute cafe! We ordered the mushroom tempeh burger and the Turkish breakfast plate. The burger was full of flavour, filling and fabulous. The Turkish plate was a little underwhelming but nice flavours. Unfortunately there is no table service and a wait at the counter so getting anything takes a bit of time eg. some water for the table or previous patrons plates cleared. All in all yummy food, average service.
I’m not sure why so many people are claiming the coffee is “good”, it’s absolutely terrible. Weak with no flavour, it’s much more suited to those that drink coffee because they think it’s trendy rather than those that truely enjoy it. Go to Crema garage instead, it’s the gold standard in coffee in Newcastle…and cheaper than this place. The only reason I tried this establishment is because crema garage was closed for the holidays.
