Story

Salty air and ocean views, seriously good coffee, almost good for you gelato and a menu parading our local fruit and vegetables.

Estabar has been taking care of our locals and visitors to Newcastle for over 13 years. Overlooking Newcastle Beach, we serve coffee by Single O, tea by The Tea Project, gelato by Pure Gelato and food by farmers from Newcastle City Farmers Market and our favourite local food producers. Come and see us, we'll look after you.

Right now, you can enjoy the drama of a Wintery Coastal Landscape and watch whales from our bar.

Fantastic spot for breakfast. The food and coffee were both delicious! The main reason I will be back was the extremely friendly and helpful staff. I also love that the cafe buy fresh and local produce and give these businesses a shout out on their menu. What a great vibe!
Great coffee, excellent food and then there is the view. The food was excellent and of high quality. The coffee was nice and strong and the cafe opens at 6.30 which is the perfect time time to grab my brew and do my morning walk.
Nice cafe located right next to Newcastle Beach. Price will be on the higher side but the environment and view is very nice. Food was also very good!
Stopped in for breakfast when a bit of rain stopped my walk. Enjoyed some really good coffee as well as the buckwheat crepes yum! Always a good experience.
What lovely staff and patrons, beautiful outlook of the beach from the wide open window sitting area, and delicious food made from local ingredients - when I went to pay, lovely fellow gave me a slice of the cake i pointed out that i would purchase in a future visit...for FREE!
Even though we came in the mid-afternoon and only had coffees and some fruit toast - we really enjoyed the experience. The toast was out of this world - heavy with fruit and nuts and lashes of butter. The best part though was sitting in the window and watching whales breach the surface only a 100m or so away from the shore
A local favourite. Coffee and food are good, staff are very friendly and location is prime.
