DO NOT USE THIS REAL ESTATE! If I could give zero I would. We were a tenant for one and half years, paid rent on time always, left the property in perfect condition. Broke our lease because after 20 years of renting we could buy a house. Linda from Gold Coast did not advertise our property as break lease or urgent, and put the rent up from 520 to 650, after a month with one person inspecting the house, she put it to 630 and is now taking us to the tribunal for the rent in between hers and her landlords greedy behaviour. They did not mitigate our loss and now expect us to pay for their greed. The landlord is making 2,500 from our break lease in extra rent and the thanks we get is punitive action and possible court. If this is how they treat brilliant tenants I would not recommend them to my worst enemy. The real estate industry should be ashamed, as the housing minister was appalled by increases of 20 percent. Since the beginning of our tenancy Oliver Hume has raised the rent 28.5 percent in a 0.5 vacancy rate area and took 6 weeks to re let our rental. Good to see that great tenants are appreciated by this company. Beware! I have been in conversation with RTA all the way and have done everything right and Oliver Hume still want to drag me through the wringer. I don't care what the reply is, I have RTA advice and I do not feel I have been treated fairly or as a human with rights. Glad I don't have to rent ever again.
Trying to contact one of the agents r.brislin is ridiculous a quick reply would have been nice given ample time to do so. Was applying for one of their houses and got no emails back except one when I had sent multiple others trying to obtain some info, and about reapplying and only ever got your usual automated texts. Now property has been leased. Lack of service says everything.
I should have read the reviews before signing the lease with this Real Estate company. So disappointed!!! When they need you send what they want, they’re reachable but when the table turns see what they do in return. I’ve been getting the runaround for something am not in control of. May god be with us for next 12months…
Never have I ever dealt with a more unprofessional real estate agent. They will lie and lie for their own benefit and are extremely rude. Will never go through Oliver Hume again. Avoid this real estate agent at all costs
I have never had a worse experience renting through any other real estate or or property managers in 33 years. During Covid 19.. my self employed business lost a lot of work and income. I did not have any income through out all of March 2020 and April 2020. The government offered assistence and my real estate made me wait four wks before asking for more info. At this point they had already put an eviction notice to me, they never called my phone and harrassed me for payment via eviction notice every single day to my gmail inbox. They have caused so much unnesseccary pain and heartache i can only advise EVERYONE to stay away from OLIVER HUME
We have nothing but great compliments and Kudos for the Oliver Hume team. We felt taken cared of from the beginning. Their prompt and quick responses to my questions or concerns made me feel that we are leaving our investment in safe and capable hands. Plus, they speak to you like you are a friend, with heart, not just like you are a random customer. To Ben Douglas, Amanda Bowes, Nichola and Karen we are looking forward to a good and long term business with you guys! Thank you!
Fabulous service. Investment Property rented and occupied 3 days after settlement. All team members very helpful and respond promptly to queries providing all required information. No question I would definitely recommend Oliver Hume.
