Jen, Corrine and the team at Silkari were incredibly helpful, kind, hospitable and were the highlights of our time in Port Douglas. We experienced car troubles and the team looked after us so well. The rooms were great, well maintained and the resort was a lot of fun. Will definitely look forward to be back in port Douglas. We were in a three bedroom swim out apartment. I strongly recommend the apartment as it had everything we needed and wanted. Thanks again for a great stay!
I travel for work regularly, I have stayed here multiple times and I must say the girl who is working in reception as of recent is amazing. She makes the stay so easy and enjoyable, I actually look forward to coming back.nnThank you so much Corrine for your incredible hospitality. You are amazing!
Spent 2 nights, resort had little to offer us as a family of 5 with 14, 12 & 10 year old children aside from the pool, which was heated even in summer. Made it feel like soup. We weren't made aware of this until after we had checked in.nRooms smelt of mould, and all the air conditioning leaked.
We enjoyed our stay here very much. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. There's a small fridge in the room. We had a nice looking jacuzzi spa on our balcony but we did not use it. I used the pools which are very nice. We got a great discount for breakfast at the Ramada next to the Silkari. The hotel staff are professionally and friendly. It's a bit too far from Port Douglas downtown and the warf. But there is reasonable ride share service stopping at the Silkari and Ramada.
The resort was quiet, friendly, clean and well maintained. Reception staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. No restaurant or Cafe on site but guests are welcome to use the Ramada restaurant next door which has open bistro style dining at very reasonable prices..Too far to walk into town but a very easy 3 minute drive. Parking at the resort is haphazard... you just park where you can find a spot. Overall it was a lovely resort with everything we needed. Would stay again!
