Dropped in to this conveniently located pub in Blackheath. The pub looked busy for a Sunday night however the service was quicker. Had couple of meals with my wife.nScotch fillet was cooked precisely with perfection as what I had wanted. Spot on!!! Probably the best Medium-rare steak I ever had. My wife also loved the Thai beef Salad.nn5 star for the food and service. Will definitely return here when I visit blue mountains again.
Bar is good, decent selection of drinks, including Guiness. Pool table and sports on the TV... Bistro has a good selection of food. Would be great to be able to have a choice of chips and say potatoes and mash vs just chips. Consider a specials with some stew like goulash, chilli and curry would be epic. Great professional and polite staff. The business needs to own their Google listing and merge the hotel and bistro ones together.
Had a lovely lunch here, food was superb and well above the average pub standard. My wife had a delicious vegetarian Linguine and my son had a steak that was beautifully cooked and presented. My chicken schnitzel was brilliant. But the best thing about the pub is the atmosphere. It was built in 1940 and they have kept the decor and fittings from the period. It is literally a step back in time. Service was prompt and friendly. Highly recommend
Visited the restaurant 2 times absolutely wonderful. The staff the food and atmosphere are just a great escape. My friends had actually grew up in the area. I was visiting from the Midwest of the USA. The staff and the area was so very warm and friendly. The kitchen staff really had great meal prep and the food was so very tasty. Loved my visit here most definitely.
Had a great pub lunch here! The location is perfect, easy to find and with that classic, relaxed atmosphere you want from an old-school pub. Staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in, creating a warm and laid-back vibe. The food was solid and satisfying, nothing fancy, just good, honest pub fare done well. Perfect spot for a casual lunch and a cold drink. Will definitely be back!
