Food was so good!! Atmosphere was warm, welcoming and friendly. New menu was beyond our expectations.. so lucky to have this gem as our local. Shout out especially to Adam & the cocktails. Staff are great as are the drinks. Don't miss out on the entrees!! Such a fantastic spot for families too, our teenage kids were well fed.
Stopped in here for lunch on the way home from Sydney. From the moment we stepped foot inside we were so impressed by the friendly staff and their service. I had a relatively grumpy 2 year old that had a 5 hour journey in the car ahead of her and they gave her a bunch of colouring in & were so welcoming & helpful with her so that we could all enjoy our lunch! The food was absolutely delicious and we cannot wait to come back! As a parent, you always appreciate the venues that are kid-friendly but this place honestly felt like ‘home’ they were so welcoming & friendly!
Perfect place on a cold and drizzly day. Plenty of fireplaces with cozy nooks. Good selection of beers on tap. Food was fantastic, very generous portions. Brisket sandwich was a winner! Staff are delightful.
We’re locals & decided to have dinner at the Ivanhoe tonight. First thing we noticed was the rather high increase in meals. Fish & chips went from $26 to $32 & it was the worst fish I’ve eaten. The batter was extremely thick & wasn’t cooked through which meant the fish was undercooked & just plain horrible. My friend & I both ordered the same meal & wasted $64 !! I made a comment to the waitress who spoke to the manager & we were offered a complimentary dessert although I would’ve preferred a full refund ‍unfortunately we will not return & will follow many other locals to the Gardeners pub in future
Food we got schnitzels were big fresh and tasty. Most of the dining area was booked out, so it's advised to reserve a table before hand. Otherwise there's plenty of room in the bar area to dine in.
