Beautiful original started in the 1830s! with enormously high ceilings, massively big entertainment rooms, lots of historic pictures & simply a beautiful & rare big lovely old pub. Haven’t stayed overnight here only eaten & drank. Make sure you sit out the back on a sunny day - the back area is enormously by Sydney standards big, green & grassy, & lets you see proper “old red roofed corrugated iron sheds” plus lovely views east over the northern part of town. It’s a wonderful spot to feel like you’re definitely “in the country”, especially for those of us who don’t drive it’s opposite the train station - a 2 hour “sleep because you can!” trip from Sydney Central. Definitely a lovely place. Perfect on a “sunny day approaching Summer”

Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday arvo. Thought a good pub meal, can't go wrong.nAll meals came out with soup for gravy. They had watered it down that much. Ordered a steak medium rare, came out fully cooked. The kids meal was pitiful. 2 tiny pieces of chicken they are trying to pass as tenders, might as well of been nuggets.nUnfortunately was a very disappointing experience. We ate as we were absolutely starving but would not be visiting again unless they completely overhaul that kitchen standard. Sorry Gardens Inn but you need to improve.

A great place to enjoy a meal with mates. Plenty of seating. The fireplaces keep it nice and warm on the cold Blue Mountains nights. Food is excellent, and is delivered promptly. The staff provide great service with a smile.

We had a family gathering in Blackheath and chose Gardeners Inn for lunch after a ceremony at the cemetery. The staff and weekend manager Tony were so helpful, patient and obliging dealing with nearly 60 people ranging in age from over 80 down to toddlers. I highly recommend them for an occasion like this. I didn't stay overnight so can't comment on the rooms.

My wife and I were on a Blue Mountains tour and free to choose a venue for lunch. We chose the Gardners Inn Hotel as the menu looked good, the atmosphere was pleasant and the fireplaces were warm and inviting. We were not disappointed. We both ordered the Beef and Guinness Pot Pie with mash and veg. OMG! The pie was the best we have ever had, the mash was made from real potatoes and the steamed vegetables fresh and cooked to perfection! The staff were very pleasant. We highly recommend the Gardners Inn Hotel!
