The experience at Nautilus was an absolute 10/10. From the moment we arrived and enjoyed a drink in the lounge area to the very end of the dinner, everything was perfect.nnBeing able to experience the sunset and the evening surrounded by palm trees was truly unforgettable.nnWe chose the vegetarian menu, and it was incredible, every dish was a delight. The combination of flavors was excellent, and we left completely satisfied!nnThe service was also flawless; at no point did we feel like we were missing anything. The staff were attentive and professional, anticipating every detail.nnHaving worked in the hospitality industry for more than seven years, I can honestly say this experience was a 10/10.nnWithout a doubt, the best restaurant in Port Douglas. Highly recommended!
The outdoor setting in the rainforest is beautiful with discreet candle and lamp lighting adding to the atmosphere. We had a number of servers … a couple we had difficulty fully understanding the description of the courses due to the predominantly strong French accent's. The degustation menu with matched wines very generous glasses was good - the tuna in particular was the pick of the night. The scallop soufflé with the two other scallops was really delicious. The duck, which is usually my favourite, was too salty for me. My husband really enjoyed the beef. The mango soufflé was very light but not very mangoey but I still really enjoyed it
If you haven’t been here and you love food I could not recommend a better restaurant!nnMy wife and I went here and had 5 courses of delicious food with amazing service and atmosphere to die for. The rainforest you are immersed in whilst having the lovely food is an experience you couldn’t possibly top.
Overrated. Food was nice but not worth the cost. We did matching wines, which were ok but nothing to rave about.nThe music REALLY killed the vibe - cheesy covers that did not at all suit the vibe or match the supposed elegance of the set menu and setting.nA novelty dining experience amongst the rainforest - but note that when it was a rainy night like it was for us, you’re under cover appreciated anyway, and just in giant chairs on a deck.nWe had far better meals elsewhere in Port Douglas Sassi, Seashells and others.
My husband and I travelled to Port Douglas for our baby moon over the weekend. We had wanted to go to Nautilus a few years ago but ran out of time so made sure we didn’t miss out this trip. What an absolutely incredible dining experience we had!nnThe ambiance of the restaurant is unmatched. The food was so fresh and the flavours were amazing couldn’t fault any of the dishes!nnThe staff were all wonderful and a special shout out to Matilde she was outstanding!nnIf you’re in Port Douglas and want an extra special dining experience this is definitely the place to visit!
