I just booked my rottie & staffy in for over the Christmas period.  They stayed at Mykitos last Christmas 2yrs ago & I was very impressed with how well our fur babies were looked after

lovely kennels, great people, my dogs have been numerous times and have always come home happy, clean and in good health

The team here went above and beyond to look after our little pet  he was truly taken care of by the wonderful and professional team there at the Mykito boarding kennels. He came back clean and healthy and he got better food out there than what he would normally get at home.  Thanks again team. Kind regards Steve Best.

Absolutely disgusted with the service of this kennel. 2 dogs boarded there for 5 days. When we collected them they were covered in ticks. We had to take them to the vets to have them removed. Over 100 ticks removed with one of our dogs needing sedation. The vet informed me that they had been on dogs for 3 or 4 days so definitely contracted at kennels. As we were informed by staff that both dogs had been hydro bathed I could not understand why this had not been picked up. I made contact via email to the owner and the response was appalling. My claim to her was that she and her staff had a duty of care to my dogs. I am aware that dogs pick up ticks...but that many and going unnoticed. Her responses were "I don't really care, we did our job. We have a sign in office warning of ticks." How this lady is still in business I don't know. It wasn't until the 4th email that a small apology was forthcoming. A BIG FAT ZERO STARS FROM ME. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR FUR BABIES HERE.

If I could rate this company, without giving it one star, I would. My two dogs stayed here whilst my husband and I were away for work. Upon picking my dogs up, one of them had a cut to his ear and on his face. Although we had called the company whilst they were staying here to check up on our dogs, we were not advised that another dog had attacked him, until we raised the question with them after picking them up and noticing the cuts. Our dog is scared of mops, brooms and vacuums now, where he had never had that problem before he stayed here. If you care about your animals, do not send them to this kennel.

Feb.'18 when my dog is very sick; - Other times have been good but not this time. My dog came home skin & bones, covered in tics, bleeding around the mouth & had had a "turn" of some sort. She had to be brought to, was not taken to the vet & I was not told at the time as I should have been. 3 mths later, after hearing more about the kennels; - Apparently Mykita kennels has gone downhill drastically this year as it no longer has Phyllis to look after the pets. She was away much of the time my dog Britt was there & that is why Britnay was in such a poor condition when I picked her up! Jason has not been looking after the animals & should be reported. My little lady unfortunately died 2 weeks after I picked her up As said she was covered in tics & had lost weight. She then started having seizures. Jason never gave me full details of what a "turn" was but said Phyllis was there which she wasn't. Apparently they have split up now. He looks after & pays attention to a certain employee better than any lovely pet!!!!

I placed my dogs in this kennel while moving house. I came to visit my dogs the next day to see them jammed in the smallest kennel next to other dogs in the same position. They had also left food bowls with a rancid dry food and rice mixture. My dogs normally eat very well howver did not look like that wanted any of this food I then took them out for a play in the so called running yard which was more like a rock pit. I left that day and came back the next as I was told that the kennel would be closed for family reasons for a week. When I came back I again attended reception and was directed to go visit my dogs. As I proceeded to the kennel I was yelled at by a man whom claimed to be the owner. He yelled where did I think I was going. I informed him that I was going to see my dogs. The man then said no you are not. So I informed him that I was indeed going to see my dogs. The man informed me that due to safety reasons I was not aloud to go in the kennel to see my. dogs. I was very shocked by this and told the so called owner to bring my dogs out as I would be taking them due to the state of the kennel as well as the rude welcome from the staff. I then packed my dogs in my car and proceeded to leave. The man jumped in front of my car and yelled at me again this time he was yelling at me to slow down. I informed him that my vehicle could not travel any slower then the snails pace I was driving at. We exchanged words and I left. This kennel did not care for any of the animals nor do they care for the customers. I would not reccomend going to this kennel nor would I take my dogs back. If I could leave no stars I would.  In response to you saying this is not your kennel I assure you it is. Your staff informed me of the closure to the public for visitation. I wont be calling to have a conversation with you due to our conversation last time. If this kennel has new owners then this review may be amended. Until then avoid this kennel at all cost.

We recently had to accommodate our 2 Burmese friends and i have to admit the facilities were excellent. Our brothers of course hated it but we found the facilities very clean and the brothers were totally cared for in a room with a view.  Even the birds came to say hello to the brothers.  Congratulations to Phil his operation is superb

We dropped off our elderly dog & upon picking him up found that he had lost a lot of weight was very thirsty & sustained an injury to his voice box. However he was nice & clean & otherwise in good health when we picked him up.
