I decided to try a new place out of my usual areas. The Tavern was full. Service was slow. My steak was well cooked to my liking and, as requested, and my chips and salad were crisp and my eggs were ok.
Craft ladies had a day out for lunch. From when we first arrived for our reservation the staff were amazing. One of our frail ladies forgot to bring a cardigan and one of the staff ladies bought one out for her. Such a sweet thing to do.nThe food was beautiful, delicious, well presented and all 15 meals were bought out together. And very good value for money.nThe service was fabulous. Everyone was very impressed. Thank you for a very enjoyable lunch.nKeep up the great work.
Came for lunch for my daughter's birthday.nWe were advised on arrival that there was a 20 minute to half an hour wait on food which was fine. We sat and had a drink Best lemon lime and bitters I've had bar staff were great while sitting we watched a staff member walk out of the kitchen with a smoke unlit hanging out of her mouth and walked through the restaurant.nAfter an hour I went to the counter to check on our order that's where I seen a staff member put her unwashed bare hand into a metal bowl and start eating hot chips then tongs go in to serve guests nOur meals came out an hour and 10 minutes after ordering.nThe Caesar Salad came with a rock solid egg and $8 got me 4 pieces of small calamari that would have come from a frozen box.nThe creamy garlic sauce taste like nothing but hot cream and we refused to each the chips after what was seen.nWe spoke to the manager she was lovely and gave me $30 for the caeser out of the $108 I spent not including the $50 on drinks.nWe left after eating not even half of our meals combined. Super disappointed giant waste of money.
Had a booking at 6.45pm, tried to call to advise I was running slightly late no answer, arrived at 7pm and was seated straight away. One childs meal arrived within 20 mins, the 2 other childrens meals and my main meal arrived 1 hour after and this included our entree! We ate at 8.15pm. This was after i asked 2 waitresses about our meals. My fish and chips were cold and I could only manage 1 piece of fish and the salad. I have been here before and the service was great. Travelled here from TSV and was keen for a decent feed. Disappointed.
This used to be my go to pub but over the last few years the food has become more expensive while the quality and size has dropped. Its still good food but it's no longer the value in used to be. The sports bar still has a nice atmosphere and fun pool tables
