Steaks were amazing, ate everything and I love the option of the Caesar salad. Lots of people were here so I knew it was going to come out a bit slower but wasn’t bad at all. Definitely coming back
Food is absolutely delicious here. We finally found a good restaurant in Mackay! Their signature teriyaki steak is superb and I highly recommend. Best restaurant in Mackay hands down. Just wish they had a kids playground but happy to overlook that with the great food!
By far the best food we have eaten in a very long time! Roxy manager went above and beyond and made our time twice at The Austral a memorable one. The chef is to be commended as he cooked all of our steaks to perfection! Definitely will be returning when in Mackay again. Roxy - you and your team were amazing and we loved our time there. Thank you so much!
I had a beautiful lunch there today with family. The service was friendly and quick. The food was delicious and the interior design is so welcoming and comfortable. I had the chicken snitzel with caesar salad and chips, all cooked perfectly with tasty mushroom sauce. I will definitely go back. I highly recommend
Every time I come over for regular meals to the hotel, I’m always Treated with kindness and respect and have prompt service with the order one particular person that stands out her name is Roxy and he’s always accommodating and make sure everything is okay. With the meal and is there anything the recovery of dishes off the table is exceptional even when it is busy. Staff are always accommodating and quick. To acknowledge your presence
