Steaks were amazing, ate everything and I love the option of the Caesar salad. Lots of people were here so I knew it was going to come out a bit slower but wasn’t bad at all. Definitely coming back
By far the best food we have eaten in a very long time! Roxy manager went above and beyond and made our time twice at The Austral a memorable one. The chef is to be commended as he cooked all of our steaks to perfection! Definitely will be returning when in Mackay again. Roxy - you and your team were amazing and we loved our time there. Thank you so much!
The perfect Sunday steak lunch. Tee-bone and a rump, pepper sauce. At last a chef who really knows how to steam vegetables to perfection. But it was a bubbly young waitress , Mel from WA who made the experience so positive. XXXX Gold was fresh and the Chardonnay crisp. An all round first class establishment. One can quickly identify excellence soon after arriving. The Austral is one of the good ones!!!
Another amazing lunch. Return customers from Airlie beach , Make the drive to the Austral to enjoy one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. The Dry Aged is cooked to perfection. Roxy seems to be the team leader and always greats us with a beautiful friendly smile and there is nothing that she would not do to make our experience perfect. I would like to say Thankyou to Roxy for always making it the perfect dining experience and we can not wait to return for another amazing experience. Many thanks .nSheree the Whitsundays
Shout out to Roxy, Kath & Liv, exceptional service from these ladies, you rock. Only thing that could be improved is the seating, I thought it was a bit overcrowded due to having to get past people sitting. Food was good, definitely room for improvement. Keep up the great work. S&M
