Warm welcome to Monterey Cinemas.

We are a state of the art cinema located in the heart of historical Howick village. We boast five upmarket and intimate cinemas housed under one roof with a café offering exquisite food and beverage selection.

We offer elegant and comfortable seating with small tables, so you can enjoy your drink while watching. Our latest technology digital projectors provide outstanding audio and visual cinematic experience.

Had a wonderful experience. Staff is super helpful and love the way they greet and make you feel welcomed. Retro look and has got a good size screen for movie Recommended
Cool building extremely welcoming. Very large wine glass exceeded expectations. Chairs comfy, big armrests not big enough for the company. Nice patterned carpet. Overall 5 stars. Minus 0.1 for the popcorn smell. Personal company has improved
I work for a rival cinema and wasn't actually there to watch a movie but rather to drop off a film... that said though, I'm always impressed by how nice the foyer and Cafe area is when I pop in.
Always clean. Dtaff is always obliging. Pity about the 3 naughty children in there. Certa6not the staff's fault. Definitely the parent's fault and the fact she filmed them being naughty. Terrible.

Nice little cinema in Howick. Prefer going here for new movies instead of lugging out to Sylvia or Botany most times. Staff are friendly. Prices are OK for cinemas
Nice little place. This is the place to go if you don't like large crowds and dont mind older style seating for a bit of character. Don't get the ice cream with nuts, you'll only make a mess... they are too hard, then melt easy under the rock hard shell.
Great movie theatre. Smaller and cosier than the bigger theatres. The staff are very nice. Always plenty of parking by the theatre. We like to go a bit earlier so we can sit and have a coffee before we go into the theatre.
Good cinema with some great deals. However the cinemas need some love, the sound is not up to what you expect from a movie cinema and the screen depending on what room you get can be average at best. What saves this cinema is the friendly staff and the cool retro look. I Wouldn't go for a must watch premiere movie but a good cinema for a family movie.
