Warm welcome to Monterey Cinemas.

We are a state of the art cinema located in the heart of historical Howick village. We boast five upmarket and intimate cinemas housed under one roof with a café offering exquisite food and beverage selection.

We offer elegant and comfortable seating with small tables, so you can enjoy your drink while watching. Our latest technology digital projectors provide outstanding audio and visual cinematic experience.

Awesome price for me my wife and 4 kids. Was able to watch a movie for $100 thats plus snacks as well and depends on the ice cream of the month price can go up on me lol. And $10 Mondays and Tuesdays awesome . Very classy cinema. Awesome hospitality and customer service. Thanks for making New Zealand great .
We decided to go to Monterey cinema for a girls night out to watch Devil wears Prada 2. The teatre was small and intimate and we could take a glass of vino in with our popcorn. Which was awesome!! The only dissapointing thing was that sound was really soft and did not feel like we were in a surround sound theatre. Overall a good experience.
Our favourite little theatre especially with the kids. Top star service. Staff super lovely each time and on our most recent experience the lady even offered and gave our kids a free refill of their popcorn after they accidentally dropped it not far from the counter. Made a disappointing moment for the kids into a positive experience which is much appreciated!
Took the kids there to watch a movie. It's small and retro. Overall 4 stars. The men's toilate needs a bit of maitenance. Otherwise nice experince. Kids enjoyed the movie.
I absolutely love old cinemas. The vibe here is quiet and chill. Grab you popcorn and drinks and enjoy the movies. My only concern is the seating, maybe a cushion for some extra padding and comfort.
