Great place only 10 minutes with the car from Auckland city center... nice beach also with the a great park and ideal spot for picnics, kids playground and doing sports... also nice restaurants in the area, fast food places, coffee shops and a few bars... I used to go there very much especially at night when it’s not crowded and enjoy my time... on weekends you can see a lot of people having fun at the park, the beach or at the shops nearby... I like his place very much and you can see that authority does a good job because always it’s clean and enjoyable...

Buy fish and chips and eat alfresco on the grass overlooking the beach and sea. Lovely fountain and plenty of parking. Enjoy a post swim in the beautiful shallow shelving sea or simply watch the boat or SUP boarders go by. Toilets available

It's not what it used to be. Mission Bay was once a family-friendly and relaxing beach with a beautiful, clear ocean, many interesting sport activities and amazimg dining experiences. Now, in 2018, Mission Bay is not a point of interest for anybody. Always filled with loud and annoying teenagers, visitors from overseas, who ruin the quiet family time locals are trying to have, overpriced dining options and polluted, oily and musky beach. Those who miss the good old Mission Bay ought to try and make a difference.

A very pretty beach with (apparently) variable water quality due to the location of stormwater drainage facilities. Best swum in away from wet days. The bay has a few ice creameries with excellent ice cream and a large variety of flavors but not gluten free options. There's a bit of off street parking but it fills up quickly in summer. There's a great park for kids which includes a fountain that is frequently full of kids. Unfortunately, the fountain also carries a lot of germs so don't let the little ones put their heads under the water.

Place is nice and we had good service, reasonably priced too. My risotto was on the salty side and beef burger was very rare. But still enjoyed everything!!
