On the way from Taupo to Waitomo we stopped here for Indian food. It was early for lunch, so ordered for take away meals. The portions were quite large. The food was good. A small outlet but well maintained. The staff were good. We had to wait about 20 minutes to get our order made as per our choice.

Disappointing to say the least. Being a vegetarian is hard enough, yet to be told I could only order 3 vegetarian mains, and none of them was what I really wanted, if my husband didn't insist on Indian I would have walked out. I ordered veg korma, Nairn, pompadoms and rice. I paid then was told I had to wait 25 mins, which I felt was an appropriate amount of time to wait. I was 3 mins late in picking up my order, it was just sitting on the front counter unattended. Then the owner came out and said I was late.. Ok, i got home opened my take away boxes, the Nairn was only half cooked, literally only half of it was cooked. The pompadoms were burnt, and then there it was my veg korma.. Mixed vegetable from the frozen section at the supermarket vegetables. I hope I never experience this sort of service again. To be fair this just might have been a bad day for the Indian takeaway in Te Kuiti. I won't be returning and I highly doubt I'd recommend it either.
