The suites were spacious, exceptionally comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed. The kitchen facilities were outstanding, allowing us to enjoy the convenience of preparing our own meals. The amenities, including the gym, spa, sauna, and pool, were beautifully maintained and enhanced our overall experience.nnThe staff demonstrated a high level of professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine kindness. Upon our arrival, they kindly informed us that our room was ready for check-in, which was a pleasant and welcome surprise.nnThe Meriton on Herschel Street is conveniently located near reliable public transportation options, facilitating easy access to various destinations.nnThe only aspect that was less satisfactory was the absence of daily room servicing. During our four night stay, fresh towels were only provided and were left on the table, and the bed was not made during our entire stay.
The cleanliness of the apartment was not up to my liking as I am a professional cleaner! There was mould in the bathroom in the shower also the kitchen bench was not wipe down properly and there was dust in the rooms! Overall great view and good location definitely child friendly and their facilities are amazing however if the cleanliness of the room would have been a little bit better I would have definitely been a lot more happy! I did order and pay for a luxury apartment however it was more of a standard apartment! I definitely would stay here again definitely needs to be clean this time though! Including the linen which had stains over them! The Riverview was amazing and the location was great! I will leave a 4-star review only because of the cleanliness! Thank you Meriton I definitely will be back!!!
We booked and stayed at Meriton Suites on Herschel Street, Brisbane, for three nights. The location is excellent — very close to the CBD and South Bank, which is one of the most popular areas for tourists and visitors.nnCheck-in was quick and easy. While we were checking in, the receptionist kindly pointed out the best spots to visit in the city and recommended a few restaurants, which was very helpful as it was our first time in Brisbane.nnWe booked a One Bedroom Luxury Suite and were given a room on Level 19. The suite didn’t have much of a city view, but we could see a glimpse of the Brisbane River. The suite was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable three-night stay.nnHowever, there were a couple of downsides. Firstly, I booked through Booking.com, and the total price for three nights was listed as $730 AUD. But when I checked in, I was charged an extra percentage for using a credit card, bringing the total to $745. I feel this should be made clearer at the time of booking, as Booking.com already has my payment details.nnSecondly, there were some mould spots in the shower, mainly in the corners and on the floor. I asked to change rooms, but they were fully booked. They sent cleaning staff to address it three times, but unfortunately, the mould didn’t come off properly.nnDue to these two issues, I would rate my stay 3 stars. Overall, the hotel has a great location and friendly staff, but they need to improve transparency with payment fees and bathroom cleanliness.
I had an amazing experience at Meriton Suites on Herschel Street! From the moment I walked in, the staff were warm, welcoming, and professional. The suite was incredibly spacious, spotless, and offered breathtaking views of the Brisbane River and city skyline.nnThe location couldn't be better - just a short walk to South Bank, Queen Street Mall, and Central Station. The room had everything I needed: a fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, fast Wi-Fi, and a super comfortable bed. The pool, spa, and gym were also top-notch - perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the city.nnThis is hands-down one of the best places to stay in Brisbane. I'll definitely be back!
We had a fairiy mixed experience at the Meriton Suites. The service is top notch and location was perfect for what we needed. In saying that, for the fairly expensive price per night I'll leave some feedback for future travelers to consider.nnCheck in was great, there was a wonderful man on reception who made it super quick and even printed us off a map and menu for a local restaurant. We were on the 72nd floor and the wait for lifts was always very very long with only two cars ever seemingly in use. When we arrived in the room we immediately noticed there was only 2 towels for 6 guests we mentioned it to the same man on our way to dinner and additional towels were on our table when we returned. We then realized we had no bathroom amenities soap, shampoo etc another trip down and we were given a bag of products.nnThe three bedroom apartment itself was spacious and very clean. Negatives are that although there is plenty of wardrobe space there is nowhere in any of the rooms for suitcases. The most annoying feature is that the master bathroom ensuite is large but the main bathroom the other two rooms share is tiny, anyone larger would struggle to use that shower. There are also not enough towel hooks or rails so nowhere to hang towels for reuse the next day not daily serviced. We left them on the table and asked for replacements, they were happy to oblige. The only odd thing was that although they delivered new towels and left them on the table they did not remove the used ones so we had to put them all in the bath with nowhere else for them to go. Continuing with the missing amenities we opened the nespresso box in the morning for a coffee to find it completely empty.nnSo, as much as I wanted to love it, I really don't think we got what we should have for the money we paid.
