Melton Toyota

Purchased my new car from Melton Toyota over 6 months ago and was very pleased with the experience. The sales team were friendly and professional and were never “pushy” to make the sale. My only feedback would be that when picking up the car on hand over day, the sales person lacked knowledge of the features of the vehicle and found that I had to work out a lot of these myself. So perhaps some training/ self teaching when things are quiet would be beneficial. 😉 Also, servicing so far has been a very good experience. Including this week when I took my car in to assess an unusual noise. The team asked me to bring in at a certain time and provided me with a very understanding, patient, courteous technician who joined me on a road test and promptly took my vehicle in to the workshop to rectify the issue. Good job Melton Toyota and I’m glad I was able to finally support a local dealer when purchasing and servicing my car.

My customer experience with Service advisor Simon Bennet was amazing. Kept me updated with on my parts and when there was a cancellation he got me an earlier booking date to fix my car. Good service and I serviced my car. They didn't got the air filter for the cabin. But they were honest and let me know that. Fixed it two weeks after that.

I can't say that I would recommend Melton Toyota. Apart from the salesman who needed to defer to his superior for nearly every phone call I made (sometimes leaving me waiting for over 15 mins) concerning the purchase of my Camry Hybrid, to not doing the 60000 km Service which was well and truly overdue, to forgetting to give me the User Manual and Service Book, to driving off (the car was delivered to a town that was closer to me than Melton) taking the car keys with them. When I rang them regarding the over due service, they said that the service was at their discretion but they would do it if I travelled the 3 hr drive back to Melton and they would do it for nothing. As if!! They tried to have my local dealer do an internal service but weren't prepared to pay the local dealer the amount asked but only half the amount. Just shows how much mark up these dealerships sting the public with. Both Melton and my local Toyota Dealerships have lost my support. I run a taxi so they will be the losers in the long run.
