Typical red carpet treatment when looking to purchase an 80K vehicle - as soon as the hand shake is done you become a number..!! Collect my Demo 2klms Club Sport - found scuff marks all around exterior - found a week old bird droppings on 1/4 panel - i refused too take delivery in the state it was in - car sent to service dept and they attempted to clean with steel wool i'd reckon - young lady then attempted to cut & polish marks out - then found emty wrappers in door trims - eventually gave up and arranged they car to be fully detailed which they accepted. Since then found the back panel popped out - arranged for it to be repaired dropped off vehicle in morning then get a call later in day "Oh the person who can fix it has gone home sick" can you bring it back next week - arrange again for next week and told it only should take a few hours - dropped off at 9am and request to collect at 3pm - had to ring at 2:45pm to arrange collection and told not ready until 4:30pm..!! circus comes to mind..!! Surprise Suprise - just picked up car and the issue not fixed - Ashton Silvers and Holden Circus
I had an amazing experience! I enquired online regarding a vehicle, the response time from the team was very quick, the staff have great phone skills! From the moment I walked into the dealership every person who I came in contact with was very friendly and said hello to me, even the dealer principal took the time to have a chat to me and have a friendly conversation which rarely happens. I didn't buy an expensive car but I was treated like any other customer, the amount of money I spent was irrelevant to the dealership, their main focus was that I was comfortable and happy with the vehicle I was purchasing. Darren was my main contact at the dealership and he did a fantastic job and made the experience of purchasing a new vehicle very easy and enjoyable, I wasn't anxious like I have been in the past when dealing with other dealerships. The dynamics between staff were very good, everyone was happy and talkative, but still able to get on with their work. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone! and I will definitely be returning when it comes time to update to a new car. Thank you Melbourne City Holden.
Had a fantastic experience with my service advisor Tamara. She did an excellent job and was very thorough and experienced in her knowledge of the Holden product. My car came home well serviced and clean. Her fantastic positive attitude was to be commended. I will definitely be coming back for future services.
Outstanding service, staff go out of their way to help you and keep in contact with you during and after the purchase of a car, special mention to Steph who looked after our purchase. The service team are also very friendly and are quick with servicing, even give your car a wash while its being looked after. Also phone customer service are very helpful and have helped me a number of time with quick questions and they always great you and deal with you in a friend and positive attitude.
Very poor service department. Felt like they were doing us a favour by fixing a major issue in our 8 month old trailblazer. Took 2 weeks to get a loan car. Had our car for nearly a month, really felt like I wasn’t getting the full story about parts not being available and the actual issues affecting the car. Zero communication unless I rang every few days despite being told they would keep us up to date. Have since taken the car to Essendon for the next service and what a different experience. This department nearly put us off the Holden brand for life.
Being a Holden dealership, I expected good, honest service. Unfortunately, multiple chances have proved I was wrong. Melbourne City Holden Service Center will deliberately text/call you months before your scheduled service is due to try squeeze more $$ out of you. Always promising to "update it in our system next time so we don't contact you too early"... Yet 3 months before the next service is due, you'll have another blatant attempt at over-servicing from them. Their Service Center receptionist is extremely condescending over the phone, talking-down to customers and giving attitude. They attempted to upsell me a full new set of tyres when they were nowhere near needing replacement. Car services have always taken longer than the time frame provided and there's never been any replacement cars available even when booking with reasonable notice. Don't expect the customer service to pick up after the service either. They never explain anything they've completed - they'll just refer you to the receipt. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra 15 minutes go to the next Holden dealership over.
Exceptional customer service. I went to the Holden service center on Saturday with an emergency issue about a power steering recall which is planned to be called in June. I met there with NICK at the front desk and he went above and beyond to help me and got one of the mechanic to have the issue resolved straight away with a temporary fix. being a saturday I had very important things and had to travel, NICK has made all that possible, I inquired few other service centers but they just informed me it will take around 2 weeks. I really want to say a big THANK YOU to NICK for his great help and the entire south Melbourne Holden Team, you should appoint more and more people like NICK ::
I contacted this dealership to see whether they could see me about a very dangerous issue I had with my car. they told me they couldn't see me for two week and once I explained the issue to them immediately told me I'd need a new part which was in excess of $500 plus installation. I range Glen Waverley Service Centre who said they needed to see the damage before they could make recommendation. They were happy to see me immediately and more so fixed the issue in five minutes and for free. I could have been down in excess of $700 for something that needed a quick fix. I would recommend exploring all options before going to South Melbourne - obviously they are in it for the money only.
I cannot ask for a better experience than what I have experienced over the past 4 years at Melbourne City Holden! The staff continually go above and beyond to fulfil and exceed customer expectations in particular Nick from the service department. His kind and friendly nature make you feel at ease when you first walk in the door and when you speak to him he treats all cars like they are his own. He provides constant updates on how the service is going throughout the day and will constantly go out of his way to ensure the highest level of customer service. I will continually take my car to this dealer if this is the service I receive. Thanks Nick and Melbourne City Holden!
As an 18yr old, I've just purchased my 1st car, which is a very exciting, yet nerve racking time. Luckily for me, the entire team at Melbourne City Holden, particularly Marek Stolarczk, made the whole experience effortless. I would like to thank them very much for their honesty and service, and I would highly recommend Melbourne City Holden to anyone looking to purchase a new vehicle!
